And I thought: if even internet-sites like Rebrickable or JediJacPenguins "Databank" list these two Sets in brackets and with Question marks as Tantive IV and the ISD, this isn't any whishlist anymore but a "serios" rumor. Great! Another site is welcome to post whatever they want on their website. We, Eurobricks, try to keep a lil bit of order here...ESPECIALLY IN THIS FORUM! To add to this, there have been multiple occasions where users have wishlisted, and then other Lego websites took that information as fact and reported on it. Then it made its way back here as an actual rumor because someone who didn't know better believed it. Basically, other websites aren't always necessarily a reliable source for stuff like this, and we should try to keep this forum as free of wishlisting as possible to avoid this in the future. Quote

Bought my set in December but did not get the updated version. Just mentioned I had bought my set after the update and was disappointed that I didn't receive Finch and they put in an order for the parts. Will update once it ships to see if I actually get the correct parts as they are also showing as out of stock in the US. Received my Finch yesterday. Came with all of the correct parts! Glad to have the correct pilot in my Resistance Bomber Quote
danielwerner Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I haven't been following the whole discussion, but regarding Finch Dallow - can I just contact Lego to get the new version if I have an older version of the set? Thanks. Quote

Procrastinathan Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I got my Finch today too, after the whole fiasco with them sending me Lando's head last week ;) he looks great; the head is nicely detailed and the colours on the helmet are lovely Quote
JekPorkchops Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 In the Netherlands I seem to be unable to get a Finch, looks like it's a US and UK thing only. Quote

I wouldn't be surprised if Lego have just stopped sending them out. There are so many people ordering them just to sell them on and clearly advertising that fact by showing their B&P paperwork in their sale photos. Means those who genuinely bought the Bomber and want one may struggle to get one unfortunately. Have you rung customer services or just used B&P? B&P will show the pieces as OOS as it is a licensed piece, but that does not necessarily mean it is not available if you have a genuine purchase code from your booklet. I did contact the italian Lego customers service about the Finch Dallow issue. Even if I legitimately asked for the minifig pieces (as I bought the set in 2017), they told me that they cannot give us those pieces anymore, because when we bought the set it was complete (with the old yellow-helmeted pilot). Honestly I don’t know what to say if not that I’m really disappointed... Edited February 7, 2019 by Casta16 Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Technically, they’re right: those who bought the set before the change was made still got a complete set I think it’s very generous of them to send “replacements” at all, but of course some people are trying to abuse the system, resulting in negative consequences for all. I still don’t get why they went this route instead of releasing Dallow as a polybag or in an advent calendar, would have saved everyone a lot of trouble (and money, in my case ) Quote

Tidy Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 the funny part about this whole finch flap, up until a couple weeks ago (or less maybe) he was only $10 on bricklink, and one seller was sitting on 20 of them ... now ebay is flooded with $100-200 finches ... Quote
Robianco Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 To be honest, Lego CS haven't even been confirming whether anyone bought the set or asking for instruction book numbers. I've seen screen grabs of CS conversations where people have approached it with the personality of a drunken chimp and been told they're no longer available, as well as know people who simply asked if they could have a figure, been quite charming about it and subsequently been sent it. It's amazing how far actually being nice and well mannered will get you. Quote

At no point was I asked for proof of purchase (my set was purchased off eBay); all they required was my LEGO account details. I simply expressed my disappointment that I did not have the opportunity to have Finch despite purchasing the set, and made sure to be polite and well mannered. That behaviour gets you far with customer support; they deal with some very entitled people sometimes. 13 minutes ago, Lego-Freak said: Affirmative I still hope he’s going to be made available elsewhere so everyone can have one, even though that would mean I spent money on basically nothing Darn my lack of impulse control! Yea, I got one for 7$ last month before this caught on, but never would have guessed that it's so high right now. It would be nice if the fig shows up in a small set or Advent Calender. Quote

Calanon Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 In Britain when I contacted them they said they didn't have the pieces in stock and to contact them again in a couple of weeks, which I did today. I'm being sent the head and helmet, no torso or legs. I only had to take a picture of the bomber for proof! Mind you, I didn't explicitly ask for it initially. I expressed my disappointment in the change being made and that I thought he was going to be in a polybag or microfighter and that I was willing to buy him and I asked if anything could be done about it. When the figure first leaked I thought we would be getting a resistance bomber vs dreadnaught microfighter or something. Glad you could get a figure though. One of my friends here in the US tells me that customer service won't give him one. Quote

DomMk Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Sorry to hear about the sad Finch Dallow stories. I’d suggest trying again, via phone if chat didn’t work or vice versa, and being super nice to the person on the other end. Quote
