It's as if they scraped the Blacktron I color scheme of Black/Yellow/Dark Red for one of Black/Titanium Metallic/Lime Green more in the vein of Blacktron II. I really hope that truly isn't the case, as I much preferred what we were promised. Still doesn't explain the weird alien head printing , both the pattern (looks like a non-human with grey/blueish skin and darker dots, and then the weird pink area around the eyes and top. Blacktron II also never used the 3 triangles, and their faces weren't masked by black visors. If they wanted Blacktron II they'd put it on there (like they did on one of the workers in the Hidden Side bus set). Of course time will tell till more media reviews are out with better photos/videos. Edited August 12, 2019 by TeriXeri Quote
Robert8 Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 (edited) It seems to be mix of Blacktron I and II (Blacktron III? ) Edited August 12, 2019 by Robert8 Quote

Of course, nowadays, nostalgia could play a role too, which is more likely, considering previous CMF series, and also the Johnny Thunder lookalike in this very wave. Accio Lego Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Since it hasn’t been brought up yet (with the bounty hunter face reveal and all) I’d like to point out for those who didn’t/can’t see the video that the legs of the shower guy have soap bubbles printed under the towel (not white shorts as the low quality instruction sheet previously made it look). Quote
ToaIruini Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Many of these look similar to what I had expected, but the bounty hunter is a big letdown. Has anyone mentioned the shower guys legs? They look they have a print for bubbles, which is kind of interesting. It’s disappointing that the reviewer didn’t show better views of the back prints. That review was painful to watch maybe it’s because I treat my minifgures over-cautiously. Did it bother anyone else? Quote

If they know it will look that bad, why do they keep designing minifigures that way? Just use a regular yellow head like the S3 Space Villain. Also, they did print yellow and white on a black head for the S14 Skeleton Guy and it doesnt look as bad as that. Actually, the Skeleton Guy's head looks really good. Oh, they definitely can, but lately they haven't. 10 minutes ago, Accio Lego said: Since it hasn’t been brought up yet (with the bounty hunter face reveal and all) I’d like to point out for those who didn’t/can’t see the video that the legs of the shower guy have soap bubbles printed under the towel (not white shorts as the low quality instruction sheet previously made it look). That was a pretty clever move, though I don't think we'll be getting a female analogue. Quote

With the bright colors contrasting on the black minifigure I thought he was incredible, but now I'm not that inclined anymore to get him. Maybe he will look better on higher quality pictures, but it's strange the color scheme is different. His face bothers me too, so weird. Edited August 13, 2019 by Wesley D Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Here's a better image of the unmasked Bounty Hunter, and I'm sorry to say his torso's still the same... Quote
K_Tiger Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Ah, I don't mind that face print so much after all. The rest is pretty much still a step backwards. Quote

Yeah, I still can't tell if that's supposed to be Yellow or some sorta desaturated shade of green I'm looking at with the torso's accenting prints. Plus, not a hint of Dark Red! Quote
Wesley D Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 It would be interesting to know the ideas behind the minifigures and how the concepts evolved, like in a designer video or concept art. It could help appreciate the product even more. Quote
CMFanatic Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 (edited) Hey, is it me or is that helmet on the Bounty Hunter the same one that LEGO used in the TRON: Legacy IDEAS set for the Rinzler minifigure? Except with printing? Edited August 13, 2019 by CMFanatic Quote

2maxwell Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 The printing on the bounty hunter just looks muddy overall. The color choices were very poor. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 What the... #bountyhuntergate That is just plain weird, will hold off on final judgement until I have an actual figure to look at. I'm fine with face print, better than to just have a regular yellow head. Quote

K_Tiger Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 The one in the Brick Shack video of S.19 sure looks like the FatB one. Man, that's weak as hell, LEGO. Quote

Anonknee Muss Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 (edited) There’s not really many options Lego had with the shower guy so I personally don’t see an issue. Edited August 14, 2019 by J4ck Quote

I don’t either. however it ruins the exclusivities of the figure for people who care and opens the door for them to think they can get away with stuff like this in the future. they could have at least given him a tattoo on his back that says I ❤️ Lego or something. 2 hours ago, Robert8 said: Please... do share!
