To add a little twist to this country thing: everyone knows Soviet AK-47 assault rifle. But did you know that Finnish Valmet RK-62 assault rifle was based on that AND Israeli based their newer assault rifle "IMI Galil" on the Finnish version ?

There is one little tid bit to share also, Israeli fixed one flaw with the Finnish model: people used magazines etc. parts to open bottles and under heavy that affected the loading of ammunition. So Isreali added *drum roll* a bottle-opener to Galil bipod *classic*

With the little experience that I have from weapons I liked a lot RK-62.

The set looks great. Getting a Jeep for Indy is really nice if you don't subscribe to Brickmaster. The idea of stickers for windows on the plane would really be a deal breaker. Extra money for a really nice set is one thing but for a set with stickers...makes it hard for me to justify.

Wow, a brilliant set. The 50's plane looks very nice, and could pretty easliy be turned into Lau Che's one by changing the colours *classic* The little stairway is a nice addition too.

One thing I notice though is that the Soviet jeep is almost exactly the same as the one from Race for the Stolen Treasure. That's not neccesarily a bad thing though *wub*

A VERY nice find there, thanks Whung! I love this set, the plane is fantastic though the figs are a disappointment. Personally, i find it very annoying that of the three great original films we get four sets, while the new one gets five to itself. Oh well, it is a great set, but I'll have to pass, planes are very annoying to display and the pieces aren't that great, I'll stick with the other four sets and save me some money.

Great set, although odd that they do seem to repeat elements from other Indy sets. The plane, however, is fab. The windows are definitely stickers but I guess these can be modded. Can't wait for the Indy 4 sets to be released!

Not only do we get a DC-3, but with PAN AM insignia!!!! My favorite airline!!!

I guess the plane model represents this DC-3 version I found from Franklin Mint. At least some of the decals seem to be the same. Lets wait and see how it looks like in the movie ;-)

This is a very very nice set! I love the plane very much. The only wierd thing is the mini-figs which is the same as tent are reflected in this set too. Nevertheless, this is one set that i will be looking for in the next wave. *blush*

The plane's lovely *wub* but i'm dissapointed with the figs *hmpf_bad* the only good figs a can get in may for $20. although the plane is beautiful it will probably be a pass for me. Plus, the closest TRU is 45 minutes away...

Nice. Though I think it looks like it's only the front and tail of the plane that is brickbuilt. The fuselage looks alot like it was built using those "fuselage-pieces" or something.
