I remember the first Disney CMF also gave some jewels like that one. There was a Mickey with a very creepy eye misprint and also a Donald one

I've never had quality control issues with CMF series before but had some atrocious stray black printing on Minnie (Lego is sending a replacement, thankfully). Has anyone else encountered this?

I also had some In the first Disney CMF series. I had exactly the same kind of markings on the Mr Incredible figure. And I think a number of people were reporting quality issues for that series too.

My only quality issue from a CMF is from Alice in the first Disney Series. Her eye was missing, and as I looked at it, her printing literally fell off. Luckily, the LEGO Store let me exchange it for a new one.

Does anyone have a not misprinted Scrooge? :/ Bought 6 and every single one of them has a big white space between the blue eyes and the orange beak. Same for the one of a buddy from another country and the one in whitefang's review. In the official pictures there is no such error and you can see in any drawing that it's wrong. Combined with the wrong scale of the much too small hat Scrooge is probably the most poorly done figure of the wave  :/ Probably i'll try to decapitate an actionfigure and use it's head instead :(

I am dissapointed with the Series. Chip and Dale are gorgeous. The 3 nephews are great even if i had to buy a bunch of them and return 90% of them to the store until i got all of them with eye painting in the right spot and without big scratches in the Torso.

Anna, Elsa, Jasmine, and Jaffar are nicely done (even if i am extremely annoyed by the new skirtpiece, which looks stupid in a display where (all) other figures use the old one.

Jack and Sally should have been done with the old Woody arms and legs. Again Lego should have introduced a small hair piece without hair to hide the stud of figures without hair. Would be insanely usefull for every licence from Superheroes, Middle Earth to Harry Potter...

Hades is so unbelievable bad... the lower body piece is great, the torso "ok", but the face doesn't represents him at all and ruins the figure... it is also glued to the hair, so that i can't fix it with custom painting, and on top of that mine is glued in the wrong position. Hercules should have gotten a new upper body mould like Mr. Icredible. I might be alone with this but in my opinion you should do something right or don't start at all.

Frozone should have been in the Incredibles Sets not  the cmf. We have 2 Figures of Edna now - as weil as 2 different Duplo Goofys - but no Goofy minifigure...

Micey and Minnie are pointless with the steampoat Willie Set in stores. it feels cheep. 4€ is acceptable to a certain degree if the figure is good enough but if the same figure with slightly colour changes is reused at the same time, it makes the "costs of new moulds" argument ridiculous. It also makes me angry, that there is no goat and guitar included if they can reuse even figure prints. They should have redone the normal Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy with medium sized legs to make them represent the Characters better. That would have been better than what we got :/

Speaking as someone who voted for series 1...

That series had 10 different ‘franchises’ in it, if I count each film and ‘Mickey and friends’ as one. Series 2, by the same logic, has six, or in the best case (counting Chip ‘n’ Dale, Duck Tales and Steamboat Willie seperately) eight. That could be a negative factor to some.

While I personally love some of the characters in this series, I think Edna, Frozone, Jasmine and Jafar are more complimentary to the characters in the previous series than main attractions in their own right. That, too, might affect the perception of this series.

Finally, if I were to guess, I’d say most characters from series 1 are nearly universally loved. I’m not sure I could say the same for Hercules and Hades or Huey, Dewey and Louie.

I have high hopes for a third series, if there is to be one. Characters like Goofy, Snow White, Rapunzel, Belle, Baloo and Pooh (not to mention some of their counterpart) should appeal to a lot of people. So, fingers crossed for a return to form...?

So sorry if this has been mentioned before, but on the UK S@H website you can now purchase a full complete box of Disney Series 2 minifigures. Thought somebody might be interested to know. :)

One thing they could do that would improve future series in my eyes is: lay off the Pixar. I realize I am very much in the minority on this, but it bothers me that Disney tends to treat its own in-house animated characters and Pixar characters as if they were all part of the same thing. Yes, Pixar has been working with Disney ever since it broke into feature animation, and yes Disney has owned Pixar for 12 years, but Walt Disney Animation and Pixar are still separate animation studios and they operate on different principles of storytelling and character design.

Mary Poppins would be a more suitable character to include in one of these series, despite not being animated.

Out of the two series there has only been a total of 6 Pixar characters out of the 36 we have had so far, so we have not exactly been overwhelmed with them, so I don't understand your issue here. I would rather they not have included another Mickey/Minnie and got a couple of extra characters. I do agree it would be nice to see some of the real life characters like Mary Poppins were included.

Any D2C updates?

No, unfortunately  But it shouldn’t take that much longer since the Disney Castle also had a September release back in 2016 and I think the first picture was leaked in late June/early July if memory serves me right. However, there’s no guarantee for that since there are no obvious patterns to leaking. The first TLJ boxarts were leaked in May 2017 and I doubt we’ll see something similar this year, so maybe we got lucky with the Castle and this year’s D2C will be better guarded just like the TROS sets, who knows :shrug_oh_well:

It's a Disney line. To me, the ideal number of Pixar characters is therefore zero. If they want to do a separate Pixar line, sure, why not. But it seems like the Walt Disney Corporation is getting progressively less interested in its own animated productions.

I dunno if someone already mentioned the idea (I don't often follow this thread) but this looks cool.

I took a picture of Jack and Sally together with the hidden side puppy.

Hello, there? The angel from my nightmare..

PS. Zero could've been included with Jack using this mold!

I think at this point its clear LEGO have abandoned the long legs and arms (if they were going to bring them back they would have done it for the new Toy Story sets).

I saw it, hmmmm it's good. But I'm leaning towards of it being fake because of the hat. If you look at it cleary it's like a toy. It has lines that means it was assembled as two part just like cheap toys.

I could be wrong tho.

Saw a picture of the Goofy minifigure this morning .. seems pretty legit .. no long legs sadly .. but looks good

Can you provide a hint where you've found it? Thanks :purrr:

Same here, as I'm not seeing it on IG. :def_shrug:

Say, how did you obtain the Ghost Dog? Have you already purchased one of the sets?! :oh:

The hat is the only thing really throwing me off about the goofy figure being real

Is it Goofy in his classic costume, or something else?

First up, yes. But I don't want to tackle it here.

Second question, yes it's classic costume. Orange top and blue pants.

Ah, alright, which set? Would you consider doing a review of it here on EB? :classic:

So, his head looks fine, but his hat is questionable? :shrug_confused:

So... turns out this Goofy minifigure is based on Disney Theme Park costume...

I won't and I'm not really into reviewing sets. I probably think about taking pictures of the figures but not the whole set. Sorry bud.

Yeah, it looks like a two pieces of cheap plastic molded into one.

But the rest of the figure looks good and passes as a legit minifigure.

Sorry it’s taken me a while guys .. I saw it posted on a Lego group on Facebook I’m a part of .. he doesn’t say where he found it .. I couldn’t find it on Insta either ..  It does look legit though .. the same thing concerned me about the hat .. it has a centre line down it .. I’m imagining a mould line .. I just wondered if who ever took the picture has it positioned incorrectly .. like maybe it angles forward the other way or something ? Like when I saw the pics of the new HP figs and they had Dumbledore’s head on Fleurs grey dress sometimes the people who take the pics just take a quick snap and think that’s fine.

Just looking at the image as I’m typing this there seems to be a slight blurring of black at the base of the hat which suggests it might be connected but I hope I’m wrong on this .. he has the classic looking Goofy teeth .. orange torso with orange arms white ‘gloves’ hands his torso has a printed bright light orange open waistcoat on it .. blue normal sized legs .. black shoe prints and there’s an orange patch stitched onto his right trouser leg.
