Do we know what Pluto we can expect? A minifigure with legs or an animal mould?

Nope, they didn’t specify that  They also tell us to keep in mind that those pieces of information are just rumours right now, but brickfanatics is a very trustworthy source, so I don’t doubt their intel, not even for a second.

Personally, I think a minifig is more likely since it’s a park-themed set. I’d prefer a mould à la Scooby-Doo, but I wouldn’t complain about a minifig version either :classic:

Thank you :)

To be honest i hope for an animal. I understand people wanting him aa a mascot for their theme park displays, but i am just into the comics.^^' i guess if its an animal at best we can hope for a mould like santas little helper from Simpsons 2. A turnable head would mean 2 new moulds and i doubt Lego would give us 3 (or even 4 if Goofys hat is separate) that specific ones for one set :/

Hello all,

How constant is the minifig distribution within boxes of 60 minifigs ?

I just received mine from Minifigure Maddness, I am not donne feeling through all the bags, but I have already 7x Elsa instead of the expected 4.

I fear I may not have 2 complete series in my box!

Thank you

Usually very consistent. You have probably made a mistake feeling them, or have been sent a box that has been tampered with.

I’ve heard other reports of inconsistent distributions... It’s probably a factory-based problem since Minifigure Maddness only sends factory-sealed boxes, so there’s no chance of anyone consciously tampering with it

Had a reply back from someone who owns the Goofy figure .. the hat is apparently moulded onto the head

I figured as much, if you look closely you can spot black paint on the hat, which wouldn’t make much sense if the hat was a separate mould :classic: I don’t mind it too much, especially if this compromise went to a good cause (which it does, if the Pluto rumours are to be believed). It’s a bit weird that Goofy’s now the only Mickey & Friends - based minifig without removable headgear, but he’s also the only one not to be introduced as a CMF minifig so that makes sense

So, we already have ourselves a rumor of Disney Series 3 for next year... :oh:

I can definitely see that. Two years in a row would really be a treat. Wonder if one of the other 2 CMF's we'll be getting next year will be HP or if this spells doom to that speculation.

I do hope for it to become an annual mainstay (much like the original non-licensed line), as Disney just has so much to offer in the long-run under the umbrella that their franchise encompasses. :classic: As for a second Wizarding World CMS, well, I'm aware that they easily could, but should they? Recently I've been feeling that Lego should instead seek-out another franchise for the Collectable Minifigure theme with horizons as broad as Disney's rather than just doing another WW Series that'd be giving us characters that could be as easily shoehorned into Harry Potter playsets instead. :def_shrug:

Not a big fan of that rumour if it's true. IMO CMFs like this (Disney/HP) should be once every three years to make it feel unique and special.

Nah, there are just so many characters the Disney brand has to offer that may never be covered if they pace these Series out at a three year rate rather than just at a single year in between. I mean, why should Disney be treated any differently than the currently-annual non-licensed line of CMS? :shrug_confused:

Honestly, I wouldn't mind Disney just running this as a annual thing with TLG, there's enough content there to do it.

I’d be in for an annual Disney series, at least for a few years and then maybe back to every 2-3 years.

side note, anyone else see the new Zebra theme sets announced for 2020? Looks like there’s a Zebra Disney set???

Heh, that's an understatement, Disney's only second to the non-licensed line of CMS in terms of what the IP has to offer in the long-run! :smug:

Having thought about it since then, I was making a MASSIVE understatement. Disney owns so many characters under it's company, we could get themed Disney series for years without ever running out.

With the pretence set by the first two Series, I'd expect follow-up CMS to only cover animated properties and characters (TV and movie related) that sit directly under Disney's branding for now, while live-action properties and characters under that branding could come into that fold much further down the road if needed.

I'd wager it's entirely possible they'd theme them as Pixar and Disney animated characters if they did continue it as such.

And, there's definitely more than enough to work with if the subtheme were to exclusively stay within that vein!

Hello

I have also been waiting for a Goofy minifigure and I appreciate that the new series may include Goofy. Just in case it doesn’t, if anybody likes my design for a Goofy car (on ideas.LEGO.com) and would like to vote for it then that would be much appreciated.

Thank you :)

When do you guys think we’ll see the D2C if it’s an August early VIP release?

Probably officially revealed and on display at the D23Expo in Anaheim 8/23-8/26.
