Is it to satisfy your curiosity as to how well the bricks are made/molded (and maybe compared to the Lego brand)? Or maybe to acquire the instruction booklet? Does anyone in the forum have already owned one and can you pls give us your feedback about the product? I do recall there was a discussion about it a few weeks back (but I may be mistaken). Is this the one that's made in China or Korea? Quote
Deinonychus Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I dunno...some of those military sets look nice. High shipping rates though. But man...this vacation house probably gets every TV channel...FROM MARS! *laugh* Quote

Is this the one that's made in China or Korea? I think it was from china, as the seller is in Hong Kong. One of the main reasons I wanted to get it was that my brother wants me to make an army, so since these seem to be not expensive I was thinking of just getting these. I was also wondering how some of the colors compare to Lego bricks. maybe another reason was that I wanted construction workers with Stormtrooper armor! *laugh* Quote
KimT Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I once bought some of these sets in order to compare them to my regular LEGO collection and to see if it was worth buying - for special non-LEGO bricks and pieces like soldiers and guns. The answer is simple NO! Don't do it. The plastic used is waaaaaaay off quality-wise compared to regular LEGO. Not even the torso can be used with the real thing. The plastic is shiny and misprinted at best. The box pics are NOTHING like what's inside the box. My thought is that they use real LEGO for the pics and shove in the crappy Chinese copy. I ended up throwing the entire lot into the trash. Goodbye copy of Forestmen and copy of Pirate ship. So money lost and lesson learned. Buy the real thing and get Your soldiers and guns from a clever customizer instead. KimT Quote

I was impressed with the images/pictures I saw at the store so I bought a couple of sets. Upon opening, frustration abound. I was lucky enough to sell both sets in a garage sale we held that same summer; at least I got some of my money back. Moral lesson of the story: Don't believe everything that you see - especially if the featured pictures are too good to be true. Hope our comments help. Quote
