I love how this thread was just plodding along, waiting for more people to get thier hands on the sets, and the pics of babymort finally dropped and we all collectively lose our minds.

Now we just need Youngledore and we have all (2) characters with a joke-name

Nymphadora may have something to say about that ?

Do you guys reckon we’ll get fenrir greyback next year, or even at all in this reboot

Following the trend, next year should be movies 5 and 6. So yeah there are chances for him to return next year.

Speaking of Fenir Greyback did we ever get a new Werewolf head/mould? I recall Lupin coming with a transformation face but not Werewolf piece. I know we never saw Greyback's werewolf fprm but it would be near to get a Werewolf head.

All of the Harry Potter sets seem to be coming July 1st for Lego stores too. They are listed on the Lego shop site

About time they showed up on the US website!  Here’s hoping that preorders wil be available by mid-June!

So happy they’ve popped up on the site for the US. One month is a lot more bearable than two. I’m still wondering about the graveyard and carriage sets though. Is the rumor still August for those two?

You currently get 20% discount in Austria and Germany for all Harry Potter Sets at SMYTHS.

I got Hagrids Hut for only 44 Euro which is a good deal.

Me too. I has resigned myself to waiting at least a few weeks and then Smyths went and gave everyone this discount for some ridiculous reason. If the sets don't go up on Amazon tomorrow, I might go back and get the Knight Bus, too.

Me too, I will probably get the Clock Tower too for only 72 Euro.

The rumor is still that those two sets will be available worldwide  in August, yes  I’m guessing that’s still the case.  But who knows?  Things can clearly change.  Or rumors can be false.

Could be July for everyone, could be September for US (which unfortunately would actually make sense, I guess, because then they could be released alongside the Advent Calendar).

So after building Expecto Patronum, Hagrid's Hut and the Clocktower and incorporating them into my Hogwarts display I have some things to say regarding these sets.

- Expecto Patronum is a nice little set, though the angle of the build kinda limits the amount of places you can fit it in. Not a big deal though.

- Hagrid's Hut is definetely a bit larger than I had imagined it, which is ofcourse a good thing! But this set is definetely overpriced, I got it with a 15% discount and I'd say the price I paid for the set is pretty reasonable. I would definetely not recommend buying it at retail price!

- The Clock Tower is suprisingly complex and a bit smaller than I imagined, Though the connecting points for other sets are always appreciated I hope lego will leave the straight line configuration for what it is and provide some more interesting shapes. Especially as there is a lot of open space at the back which could be filled in instead of making Hogwarts wider and wider.

I would imagine August, as that also the timeline of last year...although the later two releases were Fanastic Beasts. Then all the calendars.

Yeah, the advent calendar is coming out in September because that’s when all the advent calendars come out - no reason to try and coordinate any set releases from those themes with their advent calendars.

I hope the consecutive success of this theme’s sets warrants two full waves next year. I genuinely think OOTP and HBP should each get a full wave of sets, because that’s where the films start to get more complex, especially with characters (although CMF series 2 would help with that, hopefully that comes next year as well).

Hard to say, on one hand, the later movies are more complex, on the other, the single summer wave has been working well for them and an increase in plot complexity and characters doesn’t necessarily mean an increase in locations for sets.

As for the CMF, I think there’s a good chance we’ll get another one next year. The first one did really well and with no Lego movies schedule for imminent release that means there’s theoretically two slots for licensed series. Although I do wonder if it will be another August release like the first series, or if they do split up the 5th and 6th movies into two waves whether they’ll make it the 1st/2nd cmf of the year to coincide with a winter/spring wave - the single wave/August cmf format is more likely but it’s fun speculate.

Well Babymort is like 70 years old in that scene.

You're right. The first "drop an elder into a pot" feature doesn't count; I believe they had those in the original Knight's Kingdom line.

This is the best name for it and I refuse to refer to Swaddlemort in any other way from this point on.

Personally, I‘d prefer them to continue with their current model :classic: To me, it‘d feel rather weird to have double the amount of sets for OotP and HBP compared to the first four installments. One could argue that this would compensate for the previous lack of love for these two movies (who both only had a single set dedicated to them in the past), but the way I see it, each iteration of the theme stands on its own  However, I also wouldn‘t complain if TLG decided to up the ante

Whilst I’d love two full waves next year, I don’t think there are enough sets for each film to do that, in the first 4 films, each film has enough set opportunities to warrant a full wave + each, but for OOTP and HBP?

- dementor attack (beginning of OOTP

-hogwarts castle (for OOTP)

- room of requirement

- grimmauld place

- ministry for magic

- maybe department of mysteries if you want to split it up

- the burrow (for HBP)

- the astronomy tower (HBP)

and that’s really it, unless you count weasleys wizard wheezers but that’s probably going to be in D2C diagon alley

this is really only enough for a wave and 1/2

What about Hogsmade and the forbidden forest (With Grawp and Centaurs) from OOTP, and the Cave from HBP?
