micro Hogwarts Express

from the Advent Calendar to scale with that set?

I think it would be too small, compared tko the microfigs.

Definitely too small, it’s fairground ride size in comparison to the microfigs.

Give it time :)

I would expect she will appear in a ‘Chamber of Secrets’ castle section set with short legs.

Um, we already got a Chamber of Secrets Castle section. The one with the flying Ford Anglia and the Whomping Willow is based off it. I doubt they're going to make another set of the chamber itself. Especially as the latest castle section we got is the clock tower, which whilst it appears in PoA it's themed around GoF.

Take this with a grain of salt, but jedijacpenguin has added a couple of rumoured Brickheadz to their 2020 set list:

- 40412: Hagrid + Buckbeak

- 40419: Hogwarts students

They also tease additional sets on top of the four we already know the set numbers of :sweet:

More sets is nice, the Brickheadz I couldn't care less about tbh

That set is based off some specific sequential scenes covering only about 20 mins of the CoS movie. Making one castle section per movie seems to me like an arbitrary restriction to have. Some of the films have more scenes in the castle, which would merit more castle sets, while others spend more time out in the wider wizarding world, especially in the later movies.

I don’t see why they would not eventually make a set with the chamber itself, it’s a big unique looking action-packed movie climax with lots of potential for play features and new figures such as Tom Riddle and Lockhart

In my other thread I showed a concept for what it could  look like integrated into a part of the castle:

That's with the microfigs being big to scale with Hogwarts though. What about with the castle itself?

It’s hard to say seeing as we never see the train directly next to the castle for a proper 1 to 1 comparison. If nothing else though, I think it is in scale to the Whomping Willow and flying car side build.

I’m going to be honest, I don’t know what approximate scale Hogwarts is. The train is roughly 1:750.

Like others have said I think the car and tree are in scale, but not the rest.

There was a mini train polybag and the Dimensions game pack which are more in scale with microfigures and the castle I think.

Maybe next year’s calendar could have some UCS-scale builds such as a bigger train (engine and carriage on different days), and the Ironbelly dragon to go with Diagon Alley, and a micro Knight bus!

It’ll be a while before the names become available.

We don't even know if we'll get a calendar next year though...

Not really if the leaks follow suit like last year. Set names were revealed in January so we’re about a month away. Curious if they are doing 5-7 in one swoop if there are a lot of sets.

In the sense that the sets names aren’t available now as was requested, then a month is a while.

True, but how long will it take us to sort out the real set names from all the fake leaks?

We won't really know for sure untill one of the toy fairs, though we shouldn't really get too excited. Last years setnames almost all turned out to be made up

The set names in brickfanatics’ list that popped up in January were correct though, they even had ‘Expecto Patronum’ in there, which a lot of people doubted at the time due to it being such an unusual set name

Sorry...I didn't see the previous comments before posting mine...

Also, there are new Brickheadz coming for 2020,  Currently Hagrid and Buckbeack, and a set named Hgowart's students

What if the Hogwarts students brickheadz is a kind of house pack that lets you make your own “sigfig” with one of the four Hogwarts houses. It could include different skin and hair types, accessories like wands, books, owl with cage, trunk, wizard hat etc. And different colored plates to change the house. I think this would be interesting, and considering the name I think if it was just a named character it would be listed that way. And the only names characters besides the trio that would make sense to come out as a brickheadz is Draco, Ginny or maybe Neville.

Don’t forget Luna!

But a customizable figure does make a bit more sense for that set name than just throwing together a random group of students. Didn’t the last customizable brickheadz set not sell well though?

Om the contrary, I was under the impression it did sell well. But I have no figures to say so, just that it got favourable reviews and seemed to sell out quite quickly. I could be wrong though.

I hope not. I would imagine they’ll do 5 & 6 then 7 for a full wave, as that book got extra content due to the split. I suppose it depends on how many sets. 4 seems to be the early rumor, but now it’s apparently more(not including the Brickheadz).

Okay, time for me to eat crow for when I said there would probably only be 4 sets.  However, I really hope this line doesn't turn into Star Wars, where it's impossible to collect every set unless you're a millionaire.  The Brickheadz are an easy pass for me, mostly because I missed the first wave and they cost a ton on the aftermarket already.
