Now that Bellatrix has been mentioned, I wanna say I hate the plastic her hairpiece is made of :laugh_hard: Asking for a new mold is probably too much as they nailed the 2010 one, but perhaps they could use a diferent plastic for it and print gray hair on it.

I suspect her hairpiece was made of soft plastic because it was too intricate to make out of hard plastic at the time. Whether or not we get an upgrade when Bellatrix shows up again depends on how much Lego’s molding process had advanced in the last few years.

But when people say soft plastic don't they mean the rubbery one used more commonly for long hairpieces? This one was an opaque, solid lightweight plastic, looked and felt like straight up cheap plastic.

Mine was the soft rubbery plastic... did you get a bootleg version by mistake?

There’s the regular hard plastic that most bricks are made out of, the soft plastic that pieces that need a bit more flexibility use (like brooms, some plants, the new wand pieces, etc.), and there are some hairstyles, like the one used by Cho Chang and Susan Bones, that actually are rubber that can be squished. Bellatrix’s hair was made out of soft plastic, not rubber.

As far as a new Burrow set goes, I’m personally hoping we get a Deathly Hallows version, that includes the slightly spruced up house and wedding tent, rather than another HBP version.

The old Burrow set is the only new concept that was tackled in the 2010 wave, the only one that was solely focused on HBP, and arguably the set from that time that has aged the best. I’m not sure how much it could be improved upon in a straight up remake, but a DH1 version would allow for some new elements (and yes we all love Bellatrix, but there are plenty of other places she could appear if Lego gives us a decent number of sets based of the later movies)

Oh, I didn't even think about a Deathly Hallows Burrow, but that would be awesome! Maybe it could be a version that combines HBP and DH, with the little scene with Ginny, Harry, Ron and the mini-pies, and the big wedding tent. It would also be a great way to get another outfit for Luna and maybe even a new mini figure for Xenophilius if they don't do the Lovegoods' house.

I was going to go through every person that has messaged me (but obviously it has been a great amount) and mention this but decided to post it on here instead;

All information I have shared is accurate at point of informing, but it is completely possible that it could be changed before release of the sets

So regarding the triwizard challenge set, I’m assuming the campions come in their first task variants- as apposed to the Yule ball variants in the clocktower/ watchtower set

No offence mate, but that just sounds like ‘if my info is wrong then I was right at some point’. If you have info, either say it or don’t. This charade of posting about people messaging you and even being rude to others who are speculating is really annoying. You can’t withold info here, and then be rude to someone when they’re speculating, just because they didn’t message you.

im sorry if this sounds like I’m trying to mini-mod, I’m not. It’s just annoying that when I come to a thread for speculating and discussing the upcoming sets, there’s just someone constantly saying people need to message them because they know everything

First things first, don’t get all patronising with me “mate”, secondly, I know that my information is right, but I’m not sharing it all out in the open because why the f—k should I?

It’s  not a charade at all, I know my information, y’all can speculate all you like, but when the same shit has been said over and over again, that’s what pisses me off,

I honestly couldn’t give a flying f—k if you do or don’t believe me, but I have my best interests at heart, not the opinion of some random person on a forum about Lego,

I’m not stating that I know everything, I’m stating that what I do know can not be shared out in the open because I know details that could potentially lose me my job, I am giving it away in DM because I can be sure that there are no prying eyes watching, so how about you get off your high horse, and stop being an arrogant jackass

WHOAAAA - let's put the breaks on here before I need to close this thread for a cool down.

1. Nobody has to share anything they know and we should appreciate those that do because it gives us something to discuss.

2. Being skeptical of people who claim they have info is a-ok because we've all been burnt by wannabe leakers many times before.

3. Name calling and foul language is never ok or tolerated here no matter what anyone else has done! This is an adult forum about a hobby. If you think someone else has not been civil, be the bigger person and be civil.

thanks.

Personly I can’t wait to see how the new brick built horntail compares to the original. The new Knight Bus only having two figures is a little disappointing, although it makes perfect sense considering that every other character who would be in the scene (assuming that the set is just of the bus) appear in another set of this wave that seems to be inexpensive.  It will be also nice to get a new mold for buck beak considering it’s been around 14 years since the last one and a new mold for Sirius’ Animagus form since the standard dog mold doesn’t cut it.

Well if that isn’t a loaded question considering the last page of posts

I assume so, they'll have to be. Otherwise they'll have to give us cmf cedric (which would be strange, but not impossible), who's only difference is not having the jacket.

Just to say I've become a member of this forum solely so I can message RandomBlocker so he has at least been a good recruiter! Now I just need to find 9 other things to post about that aren't fluff to get my post count to 10...

This theme has brought me into collecting Lego with my kids to enjoy it with them rather than just buying it for them. Long may it continue!

Welcome :classic:

I built the whomping willow set this weekend. On pictures I thought it was a little in the shadow of the GH fame, but was very impressed with the set. The car must be the most complex I have built in that size, with a lot of different techniques, the willow was also very well made and the castle nice as well  Looking forward to getting the rest of the sets from this and last year in September

Sorry for any unrest I may have caused, but @TheRandomBlocker I wasn’t trying to be patronising by calling you mate, I just call people that. If you’re gonna be a leaker, skepticism comes with the job.

But again sorry to everyone else for a bit of derailing there :classic:
