Not necessarily, retailer exclusives for instance usually don't show up in the catalogues  Last year's Hogwarts Express e.g. came out of nowhere

While that is a valid point, the express wasn't an exclusive and it seems like he exclusive sets usually get rumored around the time of the  other sets in that wave ( like the January 2019 Ninjago sets) or group ( the star wars 20th aniversery sets).

there is so much wrong with this list now that I think about it, first things first, there is no chance we'll get more than 3 minifigures in the Expecto Patronum set (Harry, Sirius and Dementor) we'll also be getting a NEW moulded stag, there is literally no chance of Werewolf Lupin coming in this set

next we already got Dumbledore's office in the Great Hall set, we will 100% not be getting an accurate set for Dumbledore's office because 1) where would it go 2) it wouldn't be in scale to the rest of Hogwarts

finally Lego wouldn't give away their plans for the next coming years, let alone telling ANYONE that they're planning another Harry Potter D2C and they certainly wouldn't tell anyone what said D2C is

so I am definitely not believing this, and I am normally a fairly believing person, I even fell for that stupid "Lupin, Sirius and Wormtail in Whomping Willow set" last year, plus with the backlash that leakers are facing right now, it wouldn't be wise to post it, and clearly this guy doesn't give a shit "I spoke to my brother", so lego gets a hold of your EB username, they then get your email, from your email they get your name, from your name they get your brother's name, from that your brother loses his job, yeah, I call bs, and I'm trying not to be aggressive here, so I'm sorry if I seem aggressive

You have a good point about the information. However they could at some point don the road do dumbledore's office as the tower in the great hall was more for storage and didn't contain a proper version of his office. Also Lego isn't necessarily going to stick to the same scale for all the sets in this wave (not to say that I think that list was true by any means).

Personally I hope they make this version of Hagrid for the Hagrid’s Hut set;

Is that what he wore when he became care of magical creatures teacher? Sorry it's been a while since I have seen the movies

Oh yeah, I absolutely get that, they could do a Dumbledore’s office build, what I meant (and I know it wasn’t written like this so I understand the confusion) was that we won’t be getting a Dumbledore’s office in the initial waves of sets, I could see it being something they revisit once they’ve done the 8 films/7 school years of sets

It is indeed, that’s why I’d love to get it because the Hut is based on film 3 so I think Hagrid’s look should be too

Thanks for clarifying and answering my question.  I would love to get that version of Hagrid as it would fit the scene that lego  was going for really well.

Actually the Hogwarts Express was an exclusive, at least in the US. It was a Target exclusive

No problem, when I confuse someone by not explaining myself properly I like to make sure I half the confusion, haha, but I totally agree that the version of Hagrid picture above would be amazing to get as it would go well with the PoA sets, my only issue is how they’d do it, in the first 2 films Hagrid wears a long coat (hence the long coat mould) whereas in PoA his clothes are fairly short (normal shirt and trousers) so it might be awkward to mould or not look that good

No it's not. The hogwarts express is also at Walmart.

And in the UK it was exclusive to  Argos (where I used to work) and maybe Smyths (not sure if it was sold at Smyths, but it was at Argos as that’s where I got mine)

I didn't know about the UK.  In america it wasn't an exclusive

Ah right, gotcha

I would just personally like to say, the past day has been A LOT calmer, and has been a much better atmosphere in here, if we can keep this constantly it would be perfect, I know it’s hard when someone comes in running their mouth, but if we all work together, we can make this work ??

Nope. Quidditch Match was always available everywhere here. Hogwarts Express was a Target exclusive. I know these things for a fact

I believe the Hogwarts Express May have originally been intended as a TRU Exclusive. However, much like other sets last year like the Jurassic World T-Rex Transport, it just got a kind of staggered release.

in the uk, it was initially only at Argos, much like T-Rex Transport was Exclusive (to John Lewis think?). But then became available elsewhere gradually, and now pretty much everywhere sells it

EDIT: disclaimer, just my own thoughts, not backed up by anything

Thanks.  I din't think that hogwatrs express was an exclusive because usually exclusives stay available at one retailer.

While I would love to get that version of Hagrid I doubt it will happen. The current mold has been made for a long overcoat, which he doesn't wear as a teacher. But lego very rarely cares about such things so its possible

Target had Hogwarts Express as a retailer exclusive for the first month, and then other stores got it. Everyone was right!

That's what it was. I forgot all about that.

Pretty sure the Hogwarts Express is a retailer exclusive. Unless you’ve seen it somewhere other than barnes & noble (and apparently target and Walmart? It’s not available for small toy stores to stock - it’s likely it was meant to be toys r us exclusive). iirc the Quidditch match is retailer exclusive for Target (and maybe Walmart). The news that they were coming last year came out somewhat after the retailer catalog leaks (and maybe even the set names/descriptions?), but exactly what they were remained under wraps for a while. The Quidditch set leaked before the actual release (someone lets slip it was a ‘sporty’ set and some of the figures leaked) but there were a lot of people convinced the second retailer exclusive was a Knight Bus set up until the official press release bitofanastyshockforthemwhentheyfoundout  Point is, finding out about 2 retailer exclusives now (since one of those ‘confidentials’ is apparently the Knight Bus) is pretty in line with last year, and it’s likely we won’t get any more info until Lego says so.

Note: guys can we please stop arguing about what stores these sets are exclusive to. It’s likely one or both were meant for tRu and that messed up distribution (the entire Harry Potter release schedule got messed up by the shutdown). In any case, I haven’t seen either at smaller toy stores that aren’t nation wide chains and isn’t that who the retailer catalogs are geared towards?

I know I’ve seen Quidditch Match at Target, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, and small local toy stores so it’s definitely not an exclusive. But yeah pointless debate to begin with I suppose.

I love the fact that we’re getting a small August wave, I feel like it’s an excellent step towards getting two full waves every year

Wait are the 2 confidential sets coming out in August?
