[MOC] NEXO Defender spaceship alternative build LEGO 72006

Hi!

today I want to present you my creation NEXO Defender, built from LEGO 72006 set.

I was inspired by lego space sets like aerial intruder from blacktron 2 or Deep Freeze Defender  from ICE Planet

Wow this is pretty neat. I've been eyeing this set for a while but I didn't have anywhere to really display it. This however will fit rather nicely into my space display. Thanks for sharing! :)

I really like how you use the treads for the engines -- very clever!

That engine build is superb but I love the nod to LEGO Spaceships past with the units that can separate out from the main ship. Love the little detail of the Nexo power in the very front.

Very neat! The use of treads as thrusters is inspired and helps to create a form very much unlike the boxy tank it's made from.

Ahhh! I love a good alt-build and this is definitely a good one. Repurposing the tank treads for the engine is brilliant, and like Pep said, the separating nature of the little pods is a nice throwback.

IIIIII...might just have to get this set now, there are some good parts on display I hadn't noticed.
