Do the Indy figures (and characters) forget their names a lot?

Apparently Mutt can't remember his name:

And Jock has the same problem:

Its like juniorization in a whole different way... All we need is Indy with a "Hello my Name is..." tag. *hmpf*

LOL I haven't even noticed that.

Yeah it makes the torsos somewhat useless, unless You consider "mutt" to be a leather jacket brand *tongue*

Kinda hard making a motorcycle gang where everyone's named "Mutt" - unless they all share the same boyfriend and he's given them a jacket each. Hey! How about a female motorcycle gang?!?! Nah!

Nice spotting *thumbup*

At first I didnt get the point of this until I read ExoBuilders coment I have to say I agree. Why Lego why? *sing*

What was my name again? *blush*

Well still the question is valid, if you simply reword it as: Do Indy characters forget their names a lot? *tongue*

And, while they may be movie accurate, the names on the torsos really takes away any incentive to obtain multiple figures.

I agree, they could have at least made the writing smaller, so it couldn't be read. Then there wouldn't be such a problem!

I am planning on getting the small set with Mutt in it, but I'm sure I could just use a black permanent pen over the name.

Well, I'd say it makes it even worse for the movie... It's like they take its target audience for some dumb lot who can't remember who's who in a movie whaile watching it *hmpf_bad* ... I hope it gets some sort of justification in it... Wait and see, I guess...

Good point here raised. I can get by without it though, the awesome "Air pirates' print on the back of Jock's easily makes up for "Jock" and IO can just say they are the shirt brands, after all, most shirt brands are far larger than that. Still, I hope the trend won't continue, as you say it is easier without them.

I think it's perfectly fine. Lego made movie accurate figures, and I don't see the problem with that. Surely you can use other torsos, or if you're really desperate, find a way to remove the name.

uhm... people put names on to things to identify the object is theirs... It's not because they can't remember their name *hmpf_bad*

TT

Hmmm, according to what's been discussed I guess everyone with a name-tag is unable to remember, how funny *laugh* ! *tongue*

In seriousness, it's good for people to help people familiarize themselves with each other, starting with names is great.

But Mutt, I'm not sure...
