Jerac Posted January 10, 2019 Author Posted January 10, 2019 Brilliant idea with the piece used as main computer screen! Totally did not think of it! As for other modifications, I am not sure if the dent in the bottom is an improvement, but front landing gear strut certainly is. If the dent is caused by the custom landing gear collapsing though, this damage won't be covered by warranty, as you have rightly guessed. Quote
Eichhorn Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 The dent is there because I needed space to put a hingebrick beneath the modified tile that holds the front gears cover, so the longer droidarms will fit. When I looked at the sourcematerial I realized there is a dent there anyway, albeit a way more subtle one. The area between the rear landing gears is a plate higher, so the supports for holding the gear at the 45 degree angle will fit beneath it, this also allowed to make it 3 bars instead of 4. All in all I like it, but I defineatly debatted these changes, because the take from the wonderful sleakness of your original design. For me it‘s worth it though. Quote
Gumbinger Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 First off, excellent model designed by Jerac. Thanks for the instructions, as it was a really fun (and sturdy!) build. I've always enjoyed tinkering with lego models, adding my own take on proven designs - this one has been my favorite by far. I wanted to color match a model that I found (LINK), which I think I did a pretty good job. I think I was able to make the nose of the ship a bit more accurate, as with the rear wings. I redesigned the guns and the back of the ship, but nothing major. KrasiniArithmetic Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Obviously Not the greatest of photos, but I've recolored the ROTJ A-wing into a sort of NCS style. It's a wonderful build! Thank you. Quote
icm Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Hi, @KrasiniArithmetic! Nice to have a new member on the forum. That's a fun recolor of the Jerac A-wing; is that a Jerac X-wing I see behind it? (The laser gun in the top right corner) Quote

Ramses25 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I Bought the instructions recently and wanted to try the RZ-1 in Phoenix Squadron colors. I also used the mods Gumbinger made. I love it ! Can't wait to build it ! Quote
