SheepEater Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 (edited) Hello all, This is a MOC of an excavator, inspired by the style of the 2015 city contruction sets, and in a similar scale. My biggest inspirations were the Komatsu 490 (Google Image it for comparison), and the technic set 8043 from 2010. The treads base assembly base was obviously largely inspired by the wrecker from set 60076, with a few modifications. The rest is all me. I used only recent parts, still produced in the past 6 years. That meant I could build it in its entirety in LDD. If you want to place the MOC on your Bricklink wanted list, remove the pulley tires first, or there will be a Bricklink upload error. LDD file Here are some pics. Can you spot and identify the Lord of the Rings custom minifig I put in there? Alongside the final version. proto02 by Sheep Eater, on Flickr My Eurobricks topic: Backhoe Loader from winter 2017. The excavator, although larger, was actually easier to build because for the backhoe, I crammed so many swiveling/hinge parts in such a small model.
