Same here, I think the oldest moc I still have is at least 5 years old. It looks pretty bad to say the least. I don't want to make anyone here sick but it has a non lego piece in it. Hey, at least I never have had a megabloks set.

I think this poll would be clearer this way: How long do your mocs stay together on average?

Well, I voted more than a month. But that totally depends. For example, the Princess' Murder vig I made two days ago is already in pieces, and I used them to build Death! Vig.

So, again, it depends on the MOC. Especially if I spend money from BL on it.

Well, my oldest one still in one piece is already 6 months old, so I say "more than 1 month".

Well because of the condition of the model according to the equation A=Ce^-kt the half life rate will determine approximately how long my MOC has until complete decay. And for those who have no idea what in the hell I'm talking about for me its usually a month.

I voted more than a month, since I usally like to build a bunch of MOCs from one theme, until I decide I want to build something else, each cycle lasts about six months, infactThe Bulldog is nearing 7 or 8 months old. I've never kept a MOC in one piece for over a year however .

My MOCs stay for a day except for some very rare situations.

On average about a week (more around 2 weeks, but that isn't an option), because I need the bricks (I don't have a huge collection or anything), allthought most of the time at least a part of it survives longer since I don't need all of it.

I'd have to say more than one month. In fact, nowadays I rarely take anything apart. I occasionally produce something that I decide I don't like and take apart within a few hours or even minutes after completing it. Out of the MOCs that I actually do liked, the shortest ones in recent years were three models I built for an event in The National Space Centre in Leicester (UK) in November last year and even they lasted more than a month. One survived until December, the second one was taken apart in February and the third one is currently partially dismantled and sitting in a box. Most of my MOCs have been in one piece for months or even years. My oldest MOC is probably close to fifteen years old, although I do keep upgrading it with newer parts and newer ideas and it looks considerably different now than it did back when I first built it.

It depends on the situation. Some small MOCs like my Batmobiles are pretty much permanent builds. I simply don't see the point in dismantling them for a few plates or slopes. Large MOCs may also stay together for an extended period of time as I'm simply too burned out to do something else. Mid sized MOCs don't last very long as they are a good source of parts and they aren't nearly as time consuming as a massive build like a large fort or castle.
