December 20, 20186 yr I would hate it if LEGO got rid of printed manuals. I don't want to have to have my laptop handy to build a set, I also like having a huge collection of manuals. I'm fine with the PDF for the B Models though.
December 22, 20186 yr If you *need* one of these for Christmas, they are on the shelf in The Entertainer in Cardiff city centre, I managed to avoid being if just emptied my wallet on retiring sets in the Lego shop!
December 24, 20186 yr This is exacly how Lego Technic should be. Small, not too demanding to build, inexpensive and plenty of functions to play with. Larger Technic sets are now a chore to build.

Larger Technic sets are now a chore to build. Well said. Sure, the winch isn't overly spectacular in practice, but it's reflective of a real mechanism and looks like great fun. That is the essence of Technic. TLG needs to bring back Racers for the big, largely nonfunctioning cars and pullbacks.

Springs, pneumatic cylinders, gears and other functional pieces are enjoyable to put together because they’re interesting, but putting axles and beams together hour upon hour is just laborious and starts becoming tedious.

December 29, 20186 yr Jim have you noticed that it is not possible to unload the log when the Arm is in the upper position? IMG_0570 by Michael Wirth, auf Flickr
December 29, 20186 yr @efferman That's one of the first mods I'm gonna try add, right before rocker bogie suspension.
January 3, 20196 yr I bought Lego after 5 years and i was excited of putting parts together. Here is my own time-lapse and small review of functionality. Thank you for every watch, like, share, subscribe. Thanks guys!

For me, it look like the dumper was an A model during design process, but they were switched at some point. Properly working claw would be better than rotating cab and two speed winch. When the arm is in the upper position, due to way the claw is built, it can be problematic to let the log fall down. Have you encountered this problem? On other hand, great parts pack. Blue z20 gear, track links, wheels, new rope, turntaable, macaroni bricks in yellow. But as a model for playing with, quite dissapointing. Here's a little comparison with 42095 and 42079:
February 1, 20196 yr The claw has got to be the most senseless loader function I've ever tried. It can't hold two logs, and even when it's holding one log, it can't grab it firmly enough. The log tends to fall to the side. A nice cool looking futuristic set, but zero basic playability. I still love it for the look though. @M_longer I picked up my 42094 at a local Lego store today, and the boxes on the shelf made me realize that the 3 models in your last picture have the same box size. They were arranged next to each other in the store. Edited February 1, 20196 yr by Ngoc Nguyen
