I do not think I can add anything that has not been said before already. Absolutely incredible build, close to perfection.

Professor Thaum informed me the Royal was granted. But I cant afford it :/

This might sound odd, but: why not sell the license to Oleon or one of its players?

@blackdeathgr, @Captain Genaro and in particular @Phred can easily afford it (as can the general Oleon account), and as an A&C property this gives them some nice bonus. Negotiate something beneficial and cash in I say! Then burrow the doubloons somewhere for later - it is the Sea Rats way! :pir-grin:

As I said elsewhere, Bart, this is absolutely spectacular. First of all, the whole setup with the forest around it and the raised battlements and monastary give it both a sense of scale and grandeur, and makes it a more realistic setup altogether.

Second, the basilica itself looks like it could be something real. It has the proper (to the best of my knowledge, that is) layout, and loads of great architectural details. The dome is in itself brilliant, but the stained glass, flying buttresses, grand entrances and subtle dis-symmetries like the two different towers really makes this an absolute beauty, and the frontpage is well-deserved!

Additionally, you have given it a story to make it fit into the world of BoBS, something that is sometimes forgotten on a grand build like this.

Thanks, You didn't want to sea my chrome browser, when I was building it, there where mabe 24 pages with all kinds of designs and pictures open, from castles to churches to the grande designs I tried to recreate.

The story was what started the build :)

Start a fundraiser - ask for donations to the faith, have the faith/oleon finance you, seek outside investors, collude with your fellow rats, or similar. There is money enough in BoBs to build several of these, all you need to do is find the right investor at the right price. So shop around a bit for the best offer, both economically, administratively, and strategically. :)

This is the way to go I think, but I'm not sure how to start or do that, I'ven't seen any fund raisers on bobs to take as an example, yeah the odd question in the private SR chat, but that wasn't about 2000 db.

Because Rodsh Derr is from Eslandonian origin, he would never voluntarily part with something that would give him 500 db a month for as long as the build stands. :pir-grin:
ai quick cash sounds real nice, but captain Derr is not a true enough pirate to just care about quick money even if there is lots of it

We'd be glad to purchase it. @Captain Genaro i think our faction has enough doubloons to buy it?

You should have, according the monthly account sheet Oleon has enough doubloons to buy 22 Royal licenses, rich bastards :pir_laugh2:

I wouldn't oppose to take a loan from the faith tho, with fair terms&conditions.

Well, you can approach the foremost bank of the brick seas, the bank of Corrington (BoC) or issue an open tender for funding. I am sure there are many who will offer you funding at various rates and conditions, given that you have a certain income of 500 DBs for, well... ever! ;)

That is an absolutely amazing build!!!! I might just convert. But something just bugs me about how it's not symmetrical...

That is actually one of the things I like most the just not symmetry, but we can't all like the same :)

Great build.
Like the whole thing, the stained glass, dome looks great, great colorscheme, some 'gothic' arches to support the walls ...
Also like the raised 'base'. Reminds me of those temples in the jungle.
Great combo, such building in combination with that jungle stuff.

Impressive build! The level of details you reached in such a small scale is absolutely great, the colour choice is completely appropriate, and the windows you realized are spectacular. Your job is fantastic and the LDD rendering, that sometimes "takes something away" from the build is very nice!

About the financial issue… currently I have more doubloons than I can incest in monthly MRCA, I can't finance your build entirely, but I can offer you 100 DBs as a donation and 400DBs as a loan, PM me if you are interested.

Thanks,
You are correct my pagan temple build, featured a raised base too, for a different reason.

Thank you, the BlueRender did a good job on this one indeed.
The earth blue is by far my favourite colour to go to in LDD, but combined with the white and light grey walls, with different tones of grey details on the dark base, and the small specks of colour turned out great.
A rich Bobs player loaned me the full amount I was short, so that is covered. And I would feel bad by accepting a donation to payback a loan I agreed too.
