Front Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Batman can't drive the Batmobile (7784). In fact he can hardly change a tire on it. It's just too huge. I really like the 7784, it's got a huge selection of black bricks. Compared to a Technic set the functionality is poor. No steering, front wheels drive some gear-train inside the car for the looks only, and rear wheels drive the exhausts, which is just four orange "trees" mounted inside a jet-engine. The steering wheel control the bat-sign at the front of the car, which can flip up , revealing the two fans of the jet-engines. The set looks great assemblied though, is solid as a rock, and the weight is impressive. Now I've given Batman a Joker-Copter eliminator: The craft got a drop-shaped body, and seven engines. Here is a lower view: The cockpit lacks a glass-part, as there is none in the 7784 set. I've managed to build a protective cockpit anyway, with just a small hole for Batman to view the outside. You can spot Batman's blue mask in both the images above. Here the cockpit is opened: 7784 hosts a lot of bricks, so this craft below "comes for free": Still there are bricks left in the set, so I will put together another vehicle or two soon. Front Quote
The Rancor Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I that sweet first MOC you made, I'm sure it has the weapons to take down the evil Joker in his 'copter. Not so sure about the "free" one tho... Quote

Thank you for commenting. Lol, I think I completely forgot to add any weapons what so ever. The second weird one, at least got weapons. I guess I put this together, trying to make something out of those black half-arc bricks. It may look stupid but at least it's pretty sturdy. Front Quote
Batbrick Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Wow! That is a great Batbomber there, I love the design you've made. The stubby yet undeniably Batman look os wonderful, and the "for free" vehicle is cool too, though not as good as the main attraction. Brilliant work overall, I look forward to other alternates, this one is great. Batbrick Away! Quote
Zarkan Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Front, you continue to deliver awesome MOC's relatively quickly. I love the shape of these vehicles - and I also am quite a sucker for alternate models. Can't wait to see more creations from you! Quote
Brainbox Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Batbomber Nice Bat-MOCs there Front. Like Batty ( ) said, the main model is very cool, and it scores some points for originality. The second model, I don't think it's quite as cool as the first, but again it's very nice, in an OTT sort of way. Quote
Front Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 (edited) Thank you all three for nice feedback. I still have the two models assembled, but think I'll soon try and rebuild the second one. In the meantime, Batman has been out driving the Bat-Tank, and he managed to damage the belt-drive. While that is beeing taken care of, I took some of the links from the damaged belt, and added it to bricks from the 7784. The Bat-Fat-Bike is here: The belts rotates on the circular bat-sign plates, but are unfortunately not fixed very well sideways, and can slide a bit left and right. Finally a view from the side: When Batman enter and exits the vehicle, he need a helping hand from the Butler, removing one of the 4x2 sloped bricks on the side of the cockpit. cheers Front Edited April 15, 2008 by Front Quote
Siegfried Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Wow! They are some great alternates! I think this is one of the most under-rated sets ever. While it was over priced (I bought mine on sale) it had a lot of good parts in it, the model looked better than the box shot, and as you say, it's solid! I bought mine for parts but I haven't broken it yet. While building mine I was thinking it would be great for building a space craft. Quote
iamded Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 (edited) Lol, I think I completely forgot to add any weapons what so ever. Weapons? That things built like a brick, and if you throw a brick at a Joker-copter, it'll do some damage. Especially one that big. And when I say built like a brick, I don't mean square, I mean solid and tough. It has a nice curvy body too, which is neat. The second plane is snazzy, looks like it can zip around pretty fast hailing laser blasts down on it's opponents. Fun! And lastly, the Bat-tank-bike looks wicked, I'm a sucker for anything on treads. ~Peace Edited April 15, 2008 by iamded Quote
Batbrick Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I thought you might like that. Nice Bat-MOCs there Front. The second model, I don't think it's quite as cool as the first, but again it's very nice, in an OTT sort of way. Oh, "Batty" eh? I actually like that Wow! I agree with you Sinner, this is definitely an underrated set (like the 05 policestation ), it is incredibly solid and not at all ugly looking like on the box. Great new alternate there Front, the Bat-Fat-Bike is awesome! I love the use of treads, those would crush my pathetic treaded cycles: Great work. Batbrick Away! Quote
Brainbox Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Nice bike there, Front. Neat wheel idea, and even if the treads do slide about a bit, you may have something there. Perhaps it might be worth developing away from the confines of an alt model. While it was over priced (I bought mine on sale) it had a lot of good parts in it, the model looked better than the box shot, and as you say, it's solid! I bought mine on sale too. £30 reduced from £50. Then I found it for £25 about a month later I love the use of treads, those would crush my pathetic treaded cycles: Oh I don't know, I quite like those. Quote
hoang Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 the plane & the fat bike are super cool. awesome job. Quote
The Joker Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Youre mods are very intresting indeed. If you threw a cockpit windsheild on the first one, it would be pretty cool. Quote
