Alright, I'll put it on the table:

Would the american Indian have become more popular if they had red faces? (really red like those very first homemaker figures)

It would have given a more interesting side to it...

Interesting idea (Red Indians #215), but I doubt it. I think ImperialScouts addressed the real issue. Kids just don't find Indians as cool as cowboys; plus Westerns just aren't popular in main stream media anymore (movies and television). This makes the theme even more uninteresting for the little tots.

I actually think; however, that Indian legend and folklore is becoming more popular these days as more people are proud of their Indian heritage. I see more and more American Indian items in stores (eg. dream catchers, arrowheads, feathers, skins, etc.), which I think is pretty neat.

I don't think red-red would be the way to go. Though I can't think of a good color for them. I personally thought yellow worked just fine.

Gah, I hope not. It looks like they got into a batch of cheap sunless tanning lotion...

Indian sets are ok but islanders are the best .

Not really the topic at hand.

The question is: Is the Indian Sub-theme the Islanders of the Wild West?

Why don't you share your thoughts in regard to what you like or dislike about the Indian theme rather than focusing on Islanders.

You can discuss Islanders in the Pirate Forum.
