WhiteFang Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Everything is awesome! This is a massive original D2C set ever which stayed true to the movie setting. Quote
KotZ Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 This is massive. There's so much going on in this thing. Quote
VBBN Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 This is really such a great model- it's a very unique and creative design, with so much to look at. Quote
BeKindRewind Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Wow! Stunning set and really well done by Lego. Unfortunately not in my wheelhouse so I won't be getting it. I don't want it, but I want to want it. If Lego reads these boards, however, know that it is an impressive model. Good job. I will have to Bricklink Green Lantern and Harley. Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Just now, Tom Bombadil said: Harley is a figbait! Fully agreed! Rendition is similar to the design in Suicide Squad movie in 2016. Quote
Digger of Bricks Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Since it's very akin to the Ninjago City D2C, I do hope to see these "skyline" representations of cinematic Lego cities continue on as a trend for future Lego Movies from Warner Brothers. I mean, imagine if Lego had done the same back in 2014 and 2017 for The Lego Movie's Bricksburg or The Lego Batman Movie's Gotham City! Quote

hachiroku Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) Is it me or the torso looks silver instead of yellow? Or is it an armour? PS: I like that there is a wrecked VW Bus in the area the surfer guy :D Edited January 4, 2019 by hachiroku Quote

Anonknee Muss Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 https://flic.kr/p/2e12a92 POSSIBLY A GREEN LANTERN RING INCLUDED January 16th release date (for those who are VIPs). 30 minutes ago, hachiroku said: Is it me or the torso looks silver instead of yellow? Hive Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 While not for me, I do think it's an impressive and creative set. Quote
MAB Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 1 hour ago, hachiroku said: Is it me or the torso looks silver instead of yellow? Or is it an armour? 2 The silver is meant to match the armour. It looks a bit odd as the sides of the figure are black to depict the curves and hips so there is a break between the part and the print, whereas if this was a male figure then the silver would be more continuous. greg3 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) Great looking set... definitely a day one purchase for me!! Love all the pipework and the ramshackle appearance and the minifigs are great (love the Mad Max vibe with Bad Cop!!) The only thing that slightly bugs me is the Statue of Liberty which makes it a bit harder to use it as a generic post-apocalyptic settlement but I'm sure I'll cope!! Kjellevirus Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 The more I look at it, the more I like it. I'm going to get this one. Quote
CopperTablet Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 I really hope this isn't what we're getting in the place of a Ninjago City add-on. It's not very appealing to me in that you can't really expand onto it linearly, which I derive a lot of fun from. It feels more like a discrete 3D sculpture commemorating TLM2. The minifigures are great though Quote

Yep, I've understood the print now. It's like a corset simulating the abdominals, ala Immortan Joe. Quote
ExeSandbox Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 It's so awesome! The amount of details put into this set is incredible! When I first saw the box image, I thought the Statue of Liberty's face look a little weird, and it still does look weird on the box art, but when shown from a distance, it actually works really well. x105Black Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 It looks fantastic! My favorite part so far is the little print shop. Also, the Batman minifigure is awesome. Quote
Bloktopus Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Yeah, this is a musthave! Gotta love the Mad Max vibe. Quote
