LegoLyons Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I'm Toysarus Very Good! Toysarus. I like it. Roman speak on: "Nos morituri te salutant!"
Batbrick Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 That sounds like anti-government talk to me. Taxing the people of this city more so you can get extra money in your pocket? You want to be in charge? I'd like to see you try...For me, I too think it would be best for our cities government to regain control. Then there would not be any need for bloodshed. I am Centurio, for those of you who don't know. Hello Centurio, you speak wise words. It is good to see another man who has no lust for blood, just for peace. Though I regret to say this, it seems the war is necessary, but I pray it be short. Anyway, I hope we can become good friends in the future!
iamded Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 You should tread especially carefully, Brian, or should I call you by your last name? DETRIMENTUM Hey, hey, I'm not for this war, I'm for whatever the Emperor's will is, I can't help it if my last name happens to be Detrimentum. Also, please, call me Brian. I find it to be a friendlier place if we call each other by our first names.

Thank you, I am honoured to have met such a man as you, Barnabus. Peace is what this city needs. I do not appreciate the talk of certain people (indicates Mark Antony) who want to create confusion and simply take power for themselves. Perhaps we should consider him...

Thankyou very much Centurio! May I ask what position you hold here in the great Roman empire? I myself am but a humble fisherman, but am loyal to the great empire. And yes, it is good to see another man who sees war needed only when absolutely necessary, Mark Antony is a suspicious one...

Ah, a fisherman, a job that is necessary for the rest of the city to eat, without good men like you, we would all starve! As for me, I am simply a servant of the city, doing what is necessary. It would be good to get to know some of you other people, what are your opinions on the current state of affairs?

Thankyou friend, you make me feel a bit more needed I would agree with you, speak up crowd! In a state of turmoil like this I and my friend here would like to hear your opinions on the matter! My opinion is that it is a bit of a disgrace. As great as the Roman empire is and extends, it has had it's failings. Hopefully, with the defeat of those betrayers against us, the great government can learn from her mistakes and build towards a better future!

(To Barnabus) We will not truly enjoy your fish until we are at peace with our neighbours, for our fear spikes our every meal.

True this is, good man, the only consolation I can give you is that the fish I catch can provide much better than those of our enemies. May I ask what you do good sir?

Batbrick Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 you must be careful what you say there could be spies anywhere and you would be better not to say something that would insult them. it could cost you your life Ah yes but even spies know better than to kill a lowly fisherman, I often joke with my relatives that they would be after far bigger "fish" than I! Say crowd and friends, what say we retire to the Roman winery, I believe a spot of drink could be passed around in this chat!

Tanotrooper Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 ***** The day went on, as it had passed noon. When much were enjoying their wine and doing their jobs, the people were all worried about what could still happen that day... ***** The day ends in about 1 day and 5 hours. You can still choose someone to be convicted. TT

If you must know I am not a big fish, I just make a reasonably pay choosing the fate of those in the gladiator arena, get on the wrong side of me, and convicted to my arena and I'll have you armed with only a net against the finest gladiators in rome! You should watch your back in here and not make a show of yourself like that. luckily it's not to busy in here today... i doubt many people wish to get drunk today after the speech. I only give the to those who do deserve to walk the streets of Rome. I have seen the enemies of rome do not make it out of my arena, I remember one case were I had five men killed after murdering a lady, I think her name was Margerine or Margret or something...

Scouty Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Thankyou very much Centurio! May I ask what position you hold here in the great Roman empire? Ah, a fisherman! You do a great service to our Empire! Socius, stop being so aggressive towards Brian, it is unnecessary .
Dragonator Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Hmmm, this wine is really good. That's why I come here often, it's my favourite place in all of Rome! Say Barnabus, want another? I understand they serve fish here too. Let us hope it is not you or I that gets served up! Say, Mark Antony, you've been very quite recently, what do you have to say for yourself? (OOC Please remember guys that it is against the rules to edit a post, so think before you type. BIC)
Atoll Dweller Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Yes, the wine is good.*hic* I think we should keep a watchful eye on this Mark Antony person... *hic*
Trexxen Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Ah, Wine, how I miss thee...but I gave it up three years ago, after I managed to commandeer my horses into the path of another set. What a fine mess that was... As for my job; I am but a lowly blacksmith. I make mostly armor; helms are my specialty; however I have been known to make daggers or swords sometimes...or I used to, until today. It would pain me so to learn that a murder was committed with one of my weapons; after all, the greatest trust must be between the supplyer and the demander - if either has ill will torwards the other a purchase will never be made.
Piranha Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Say, Mark Antony, you've been very quite recently, what do you have to say for yourself? Trying to bring down the Emperor, selling stocks and taking part in the Senate *sighs* (the usual) This week I am trying to acquire some rare opal stones, I am quite fond of precious stones I need some wine and good food, anyway care to join me, of course its quite pricey However with the money I make in the market, I can afford it Here's some money *throws sack of gold coins on ground*
MagPiesRUs Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 My fellow Romans, time has run short, we must condemn one man or none at all. So far, I find two of us suspicious - Mark Antony and Acacius. Antony for being so openly traitorous towards the good Emperor. This could be an attempt to look to be part of the Aventine and Paletine scum, or perhaps wishes o be killed. Acacius says very little in his posts, perhaps not to let anything slip, and prevent suspicions arising about himself. Could this be because he is trying to hide his scummy identity? Perhaps both of my suspicions are wrong, but I suggest we put some pressure on the two.. .. And if any wish to know, I am but a retired legionary, who has seen far too much war in his time..
