bruh Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 I have started using Studio to make small scale instructions. However, when making instructions, I need to push in an axle in the instructions, thus changing its initial position. Is there a quick, simple way of doing this? Quote
1963maniac Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 if these two blue pins are "new" on this step, just locate them where they are gonna be now. Quote
SylvainLS Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 There’s a buffer exchange feature but it only allows to move parts in the current step. Quote
Berthil Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 You must use the buffer exchange feature on the page before converting to (submodel) callouts as it is not available in the callouts. If done before it however will be visible in the callouts and arrows can still be repositioned. If something has changed on the page while selected (step/angle changes) it can be that the new part is not selectable after the change. To correct this go out and in the Instruction mode again as then the page gets re-rendered in Page layout and the part is selectable. Quote
Cyberfounder Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Im building a relative big moc in Stud.io, and for keeping an overview I need to zoom out. However everytime I do so my moc becomes a bit blurry and bricks lose all outlines. I set all values on maximum, is ther anything else I can do to prevent this? Quote
Aleh Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 Hi! How to get a new parts to the studio library? Ididnt find a new Harley Davidson rear wheels there. Parts are 46334/46335 Thanx Quote
SylvainLS Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Those parts are available in LDraw Unofficial. You’ll need to use PartDesigner to add connectivity and to import them in Studio as custom parts. A bit more info on the Parts FAQ on the Studio forum (you need a BL account to read it). Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 @SylvainLS You may update your guide as LDraw now offers the complete .zip files to have all subparts included. Quote
SylvainLS Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 The .zip contains the unofficial subfiles only. If a subfile is official, it’s not included… but Studio is still releases away from the last official LDraw release, so it’s missing those files. For instance, the part mentioned above, 48156p01, has a subfile, but the tracker doesn’t propose to download the Zip with both the main file and the subfile. You need both for PartDesigner/Studio. Jason C. Hand Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hello, all. Silly question: Has Stud.io had any substantial part updates recently? I went through some of the update logs and the last entries that mentioned any new added parts were from 2021, I believe. Quote
SylvainLS Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Parts are updated regularly. Those parts updates are done separately from the application update and they are not advertized. When Studio starts, it checks for them (and for “contest” palettes, like BDP) and download them. Quote

Okay, thanks friend. Quote
