The strange being rose. It was hideous, and looked noting like Adam. Jim slowly pulled out his pistol from his belt. He had found all of his equipment in a room on the way in. The thing looked at Jim, and surprisingly quickly, knocked Butcher to the wall. The commander quickly got up and shot twice, dead center in the heart area. But it didn't seeto do any damage, and the last thought of Butcher's was Dammit, not again...

Come on! That guy isn't hideous, he's actually pretty cool! Thanks, Oky! I hope simonjedi can find some way to include me. :cry-sad:

I'm confused, Oky Wan. I thought you already knew we were going to the facility, and had the coordinates. By the way, I was just filling the gap before Adam's post when he went to the future. Sorry Adam, I thought he was supposed to be deformed, I kinda go the wrong idea. I picture (in Lego form) would help to get the idea of this guy.

[Future, Rebel base]

"I haven't seen you in years, Loken, and I must say that it is good to do so" said the older Butcher. He had changed quite a lot since the time machine incident. He was more weary and battle-hardened than before. He seemed more alert, yet tired. He was aging quickly, and soon he would retire from military affairs.

"Jim! The time machine, it's going to change everything!" exclaimed Garviel. "If we don't stop it, the Republic will never exist, and no hope will be shown!"

"Which is why we have to send you back. As you can see, the time machine didn't work, as most of us are still alive. But something almost as bad has taken place, and I fear that this is the end." said Butcher.

"What...? What's happened?"

[butcher explains about the Galactic Empire, the fall of the Jedi, and the Rebel Allience]

"And that is why you must go back. While this fate is not in our favor, the time machine will cause a much worse destiny. There is still a glimmer of hope in this one. We don't know what it is yet, but there still is..."

"Then come with me, you know all about what is going to happen, you'll know how to defeat them," said Loken.

"Unfortunately, I can't." Butcher said. "One Butcher already exists in your time, it's impossible to have more".

"Then at least tell me what to do to stop it" said Loken.

"I'm afraid I can't do that either".

"Well, why not?! You were there, you know what to do!" Garviel was clearly getting irritated.

"Because, we already stopped it once, but it will be different the second time. This time machine needs to be stopped, and you are the one who needs to figure out how. It's messing up everything; the past, the future, the present... who knows what will happen when different destinies collide? It could be the end of the galaxy, which is why you need to go back. Tell the others what happened here." Butcher said.

"Okay, you're right, but how will I get back?" Garviel asked.

"Well...."

Whoops, cliffhanger! Simonjedi, I know you wanted to stay in the future for a few more posts, so go ahead and do those things that you wanted to do before you travel back in time to the present.

[Adam]

[in the future: Rebel Base]

Adam jerked upward, to the suprise of Jim and the other man. "Ah!" the old Butcher said. "You're up. You looked quite beaten up on the ice out there." Adam looked around questioningly. Jim responded with, "You're in the future- or, for me, the present. But for you, the future." Adam gathered his thoughts. "Ok," he said slowly, "I'm in the future. So where am I and who is this?" He motioned to the other man. "And what, exactly, is going on?" Butcher coughed. "Sorry, I must of forggoten to introduce you. This is a Rebel named Larkin. He was one of the people who found Loken as well as you." Adam was more confused than ever. "Loken... he's here?" Jim nodded his head. "We're already sending him back. We must send you back too, or we'll face a far graver fate than the Imperials and Vader." Adam thought for a moment. Rebels? Imperials? What is going on? "Wait." Adam said. "What are Rebels, and what are these "Imperials"? And.... Vader?!" This time, the other man- Larkin- responded. "You don't know either? The Imperials are the guys running the galaxy now- I guess you sort of would have called them "CIS" or "Clones"." What the heck? Clones and CIS are two different things. "Wait. We- with the aid of the Clones- are fighting the CIS. They are NOT the same thing." Larkin looked at Butcher, who said, "Er... it's complicated. Nothing that you need to know about. And Vader, he is a Sith Lord. And you never told me that you are a Jedi!" "Huh?!" Adam asked, bewildered. Larkin pointed to the lightsaber on a table near him. "It was on you when we found you." He explained. This is wrong, Adam thought, I'm not a Jedi, I'm not even force-sensitive. "You must be mistaken-" He started, but Jim cut him off. "I see. Now, we must send you back." He looked rather disappointed, but Adam had bigger things to worry about. "How are you going to send me back? And if you're here, where am I?" Butcher looked away. "I'm afraid I can tell you no more. Now, if you can walk, Larkin will show you off."

I changed "Garviel" to "Butcher" so that simonjedi can do what he wants.

"There might be a bit of residue energy remaining on you, " explained a technician, "From your time jumps" she quickly added, "if we can get you to the chamber we might be able to lock on to your original place."

"Its a risky shot, but its the only one we've got. Loken follow Bequin to the chamber" Loken stepped backin a mix of shock and disgust "THIS IS A TRAP" he shouted "A DAMN TRAP SET BY THE SEPARATISTS, I never thought you'd turn Jim," he said in sorrow and turned to walk out.

"NO, Garviel wait, This is not the Bequin you know, she was born a long time after Mentacore, we have no idea who the Bequin you know is," Jim cried out

Garviel sighed and turned back "Fine," he replied reluctantly.

{In the chamber}

"We've build this crude time machine from plans salvaged from that core ship" Jim explained "We spend quite a while to get certain parts" he smirked "But its -"He reached down to his comlink "Jim here, WHAT? SHIT! We have a problem, the imps have found us"

You're involvement, Adam was going to be the residue energy part, it was only a minor change, can you be slightly in the past from my timezone? i was planning the base to be attacked

Well, if you take a look at this post, you will see that Garviel and I left before Adam told you the coordinates. But never mind; I don't need you to know where you are.

Oky Wan was waiting for response from Jim, but he didn't answer. Maybe he doesn't have reception inside the facility, thought Oky. He turned his comlink back on, but this time, he tuned into the frequency of Mack's freighter. "Republic Freighter, come in, Republic Freighter. This is Oky Wan Kenobi. Do you read me? Over." "Oky Wan!" came Wouwie's excited voice out of the comlink. "I am so glad you called! We are sooo bored over here! Jim said he would give us a sign when we are supposed to enter the facility, but we haven't heard of him since! Where are you? How did your mission go?" "Bad" Oky Wan replied. "It's a long story. We are on our way back, but we don't know where exactly you are. Can you send me your coordinates?" "Sure... There you go." "alright, I'll be over there as soon as I can!" Oky Wan turned off the comlink and told the pilot the coordinates.

A few minutes later, they landed next to MacK's freighter. Wouwie, Thok, and MacK himself came to greet him. He quickly explained to them what had happened in the core ship. "So, let me get this straight," said MacK, "Annix is dead, Garviel mysteriously disappeared, and you didn't find any clues about the time machine? Well that's just great!" "Yeah" Thok agreed sadly. "But we don't have time to worry about that now. Jim and Adam have been down there for too long and they are not responding to any calls. Something's wrong and we need to help them!" "You're right," said Oky Wan, "We should..."

But Oky never got to finish his sentence, for in that moment, it happened again...

Cliffhanger alert! I might add pics later.

Btw, Jim, I know that you wanted to kill off MacK, and I just wanted to remind you that you shouldn't restrain yourself from whatever you had planned for him just because of simonjedi's post with MacK lying dead on Felucia sometime in the future since that could just be a possible future.

I was intending it to be an invasion force, star destroyers, AT-ST's and things like that, bu guess you could b a biker scout on recon thats been captured.

No, its the Galactive civil war era (between IV and V) so it'll be x-wing pilots and rebel troopers.

Adam followed Larkin down a corridor while Jim took an alternate route. They eventually reached a small room with screens displaying the outside, which was, thankfully, dormant. It was here that Adamw as supposed to be briefed on how he would return to the present time. "So," Larkin said, "when you came, it took a tremendous amount of energy. Fortunately, it was so much that there is probably still a trace of it on you, and we can use that as a signal to transport you back to where it first generated." Adam frowned. "'Probably'?" Larkin gave a half smile. "It's the only chan-" Adam stopped him. He could have sworn he saw something on the screen. Is that... a vehicle? The man aboard doesn't look like the Rebels... "Hey," Adam said, "what is that?" He pointed to a white object moving on the screen behind Larkin. "A biker scout!" The Rebel gasped. "The Imps must be attacking! Yes, I think I can see some AT-ST's in the distance!" Adam wasn't quite aware of what Larkin was talking about, but it sounded bad. "Maybe you should radio Butcher," he suggested. "Good idea," Larkin thanked him. A few minutes later, Adam was standing in a room with Larkin, Butcher, Loken, and a bunch of other Rebels.

I hope that simonjedi doesn't mind that I continued, and I've taken the liberty to introduce Jammiedodger714 into the story.

It is. So, you mean that it's you, but that the rebels think you're an imp. scout trooper, although you're not?

About DSR: I think there has been a misunderstanding. Some of you believed that he would join in the future timeline, but he will actually appear in the present. As Jim said in an earlier post, "we'll have his British clone, 214, be a clone from the remaining on Hoth." That means that he will be a clone who will meet me, Jim, and the others by the research facility on Hoth in the present, and it sounded like Jim wanted to be the one to introduce him. So, don't worry about him and get on with the story.

I hope that cleared up some of the confusion.

As soon as the last Rebel entered the room, Butcher began briefing them. "An Imperial biker scout has been sighted," he nodded in Adam's direction, "as well as a task force of AT-ST's. We have evidence to believe that there is more than that." He adressed Garviel and Adam. "We had intially intended to send you guys back, but-" Loken cut in. "Of course we'll help you in any way we can!" Adam nodded in agreement. "Alright then." Butcher said. "I'll be arrange to units- one, which I shall lead, to infiltrate their ranks, and the other to stay behind and work on defences. Garviel, Adam, I'd like you to take some bikes, capture this scout and do some recon of your own. From what Larkin tells me, they are relitavely far away, so we'll have some time." Adam was flustered. "What?" Garviel asked. "You're just going to throw us on some small vehicles and send us to do some scouting?!" Adam asked, furious. Jim held up a hand. "Look, you honestly have no experience with these men or their machinery, save for some of what you may have fought during the Clone Wars. It would be far to dangerous to send you out with us, and frankly, you'd only be a hindrence." Adam knew that this was logical, but it didn't stop him from fuming. "Fine," he agreed bitterly, "I'll take a speeder." Not long afterward, it was decided that Butcher's group would arm themselves and assist with the defences while Adam and Loken did their mission. They were taken to the main hanger, where they were "briefed" on how to drive a bike. At least, the poor soldier tried to brief them, but both Clone War veterans snapped that they both knew how to use one. Then, they were out on the ice.

I hope all of this is okay; I'm making 3 speeders (two for simonjedi and I, the other for Jammiedodger714), and they'll be ready for pictures as soon as they are completed.

Jim woke suddenly. His head felt like he'd landed on the ice again. How long had he been out? His solar-powered time-teller told him about five minutes, which he was thankful for. Luckily, no droids or mutants found him. Then he remembered: The door.... He slowly got up, and walked towards the door. No, it wouldn't be this unprotected. He decided to open it, just in case. He was right, it was just a conference room. But was that small, minuscule tingling he felt deep inside of him before? His question was answered quickly, with a mechanical, ominous voice.

"Hello, Republic scum..."

I wonder who that could be...?

[Adam]

[Present; CIS Base]

The Adam imposter shot Butcher, knocking him out. He knew that the CIS would love to have him, but they were of no concern to this man. He decided that it would be logical to dump the man before him on the ice outside, and let the CIS deal with him in any which way he liked. No, he had greater obstacles before him than this puny creature. His destination was the nearest starfighter.

As Adam and simonjedi sped out of the rebel base something...odd happened. The biker scout was heading straight for them, but turned and opened fire at the AT-STs. As one AT-ST exploded, the biker scout again turned and boosted straight inbetween Adam and simonjedi.

Simonjedi: THAT WAS FAST, TOO FAST!!!

Adam: He is heading for the base! Quick!

Adam and simonjedi both turned, they boosted and soon were either side of the scout.

Scout: I'm on your side!

Adam: He is lying!

Scout: LOOKOUT!

A blaster bolt from an AT-ST hit Adam's speeder. He jumped and landed in the snow as his speeder hit a bunch of rocks. The scout turned and headed toward the imperial vehicle. He leapt off his speeder and landed next to Adam. The speeder hit the AT-ST.

Scout: Now do you believe me?

Adam: IMPERIALS!!!

Several stormtroopers were running towards them!

Commander Stormie: OPEN FIRE!!!!

CLIFFHANGER!!!!
