A few moments later, Adam was able to speak. "At one point, while searching for information about the mutants, I encountered something very strange on Felucia. It was a statue of a long-forgotten Jedi that tried to take control of me. Let's just say it was... persuasive. The spirit of the Jedi, a man who had turned against the Republic a long time ago, entered my mind and attempted to gain control of my entire body. Ever since then, I've tried to keep him at bay, but now and then he escapes my will and takes control. That happened in the facility, and when I went to the future, we somehow... split up; I can't feel his prescence any more. However, the fact that he's at large is even more dangerous than him being inside me. Now he has the ability to cause galactic wide mayhem."

Back row: Garviel Loken (simonjedi), Wouwie/Easy 501, Moda Annix (dead), Skipper24 (not playing at the moment). Btw, I have noticed that you still refer to Simonjedi as simonjedi. Please stop that and start caling him by his character's name, Garviel Loken. You snide mechanic! I'm an engineer, thank you very much! "And you're telling us that NOW?" complained Oky Wan. "Well, where is that evil half of yours now?" Neither Adam or Jim had an answer to that, but in that moment, they could hear the distant sound of jet engines and the whole hallway started shaking. After a short while, the vibrations were gone. "What was that?" asked Wouwie. "Sounded like starfighter taking off" said Thok. "The hangar!" Oky Wan called. "The dark jedi is getting away! Quick, we need to get back to our ships!" All of them ran back the way they came in, but before they could reach the exit, they could hear a big explosion outside. When they finally got out, they had to discover something terrible: MacK's freighter had been destroyed and the RGS was heavily damaged! They could see a small starfighter heading toward orbit, which meant that it was the dark jedi who shot at their defenseless ships before leaving to ensure that there would be no one following him. They ran over to the burning wreckage of the freighter to check for survivors. As they came closer, they could see Skipper lying in the snow. They kneeled down beside him and checked on him. He seemed barely alive. "Can anyone see William Jones?" Jim asked. "No. I'm afraid he didn't make it." Thok replied. There was a sad silence. Then, they heard footsteps and a familiar voice: "Sirs, are you alright?" It was Commander Rex who had come over from the gunship. Fortunately, he and his men seemed unharmed. "Yes, commander, we are fine," replied Jim, "We cannot say the same for our friend here. Tell your men to get him to your ship and put him into a bacta tank immediately!" "Yes, Sir!" Rex made some hand signals to the other clone troopers who came forward and carried Skipper away. "What's the status of your ship, commander?" Jim asked Rex. "It's hit pretty badly. We think that she will fly, but she wont stand a chance in battle." "Good," said Jim, "that's all we need. Prepare for take-off - We'll leave immediately." "Yes, Sir." They all went over to the gunship. On the way, Thok asked: "What's the plan, Jim?" "We'll try to follow that dark jedi of course" Jim replied. "But what about Garviel?" said Thok. "He'll have to wait" said Jim. "No," Adam interrupted them, "don't bother with my evil half. I know where he's going." Thok and Jim looked at him in surprise and said: "Where?" "Felucia," Adam replied. "What makes you think that?" Jim asked. "Don't you get it?" said Adam. "He was in me all this time. He knows about the time machine and the CIS base on Felucia. He knows that it is the ultimate weapon against the republic and probably wants to use it for his own purposes. So, let's go and help Garviel first, then we can go to Felucia and find him." What Adam was saying made sense to Jim, so he agreed to that plan. They got into the gunship and headed toward orbit. They could only hope that they wouldn't get attacked by CIS forces before they found the cruiser that Garviel was on... I hope that's OK with everyone. Btw, I noticed that The_Death_Star is back under the new name Da_Death_Star. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to kill him off. Somebody should contact him and ask him if he would like to rejoin. William Jones' body wasn't actually found, so if Death_Star does want to continue playing, his character could be revealed to be alive after all in the next chapter. The ship wasn't far from their position, but it would be difficult for the damaged gunship to make the trip- especially since the craft was surrounded by smaller CIS ships. "How are we possibly going to penatrate their defences without getting blown up?" Thok asked, dismayed. "What if we make some distraction," Adam suggested, "and use it to make an opening? It's a thin plan, but it's our only chance." The others nodded, and eventually JD suggested that they form not one but two distractions to have an easier entrance. However, Jim shook his head at the idea. "That would make it obvious that we were trying to make a move. No, we'll have to go with the slim chances of Adam's idea. We should probably take out a small pod so that we wouldn't be as detectable as this large, damaged gunship." Sorry for the pointlessness of that, but I had to throw SOMETHING out there. I'll be posted images when we board the cruiser, but simonjedi- what does Bequin look like?

His head felt like he'd landed on the ice again. How long had he been out? His solar-powered time-teller told him about five minutes, which he was thankful for. Luckily, no droids or mutants found him. Then he remembered: The door.... He slowly got up, and walked towards the door. No, it wouldn't be this unprotected. He decided to open it, just in case. He was right, it was just a conference room. But was that small, minuscule tingling he felt deep inside of him before? His question was answered quickly, with a mechanical, ominous voice. "Hello, Republic scum..." I wonder who that could be...? Although it is pretty old... so just scrap it and say that Benquin (wasn't she on the ship in orbit, though?) was the one who attacked Butcher... but it would be easier if it was Grievous. If you could just change your post a little bit, maybe if you came in while Butcher was fighting Greivous, and we could take it from there...

I thought it was the Adam impostor talking at the end of that post because it was followed by a post from Adam in the POV of the impostor, but Adam's post was set before yours. Now I understand. No, Beqin would never work since she was facing me and Annix at the time! I have changed my post to feature you fighting Grievous and I hope your happy with it. You can find it here. The bold part is the one I added. "Sounds good," said Oky Wan, "There is only one problem with that: We are in a gunship, and those aren't equipped with escape pods." Jim hadn't thought about that. He looked around in the gunship for something that they could use as an escape pod... and, finally, his eyes fell upon some weapon crates, which were each large enough to hold one or two persons. "There," he told the others, "we'll use those!" "Hm... OK. But how do we get over to the cruiser in those things? They don't have any engines!" Thok asked. "No problem" said Oky Wan, "if I can borrow a helmet from one of the clones, I could fly us over there with my jetpack!" Jim thought about it and said: "Hm, yes, that could work." "Hey, what about the Republic Assault Cruiser?" said Wouwie all of a sudden. "We could get a better transportation from there!" No," said Jim, "It's too far away. We don't have any time to waste. We'll go with Oky's idea." And so, they started emptying the weapon crates. While they were working, Oky Wan asked Butcher: "So, I noticed that you have a lightsaber... and that you are pretty good at using it too. Does that mean you're...?" "A jedi? No," interrupted him Jim. "Force sensitive? Yes, a little. And about the lightsaber fighting, well..." He continued to tell Oky how he learned the fighting style of the mandalorians, and how he built his own saber. "Fascinating!" said Oky Wan. "So, what did Grievous want from you?" Perhaps the clones and I should stay behind while you lot go to the base. We could try to fix the gunship or steal some staps from droids on patrol? J

"Hmm, what did say the last time you asked me?" said Oky Wan, a little irritated with Butcher's [slight] lack of technology knowledge. "Yes, but even if this works, they're still going to shoot us down. Even with a cloaking device, that dark Jedi could probably sense us." said Butcher "Hm... maybe you're right, but it's the only way right now, unless you have a better plan". For once, Jim didn't have a plan. But neither was a bomb in a crate being pushed by a jet pack with massive laser bolts ready to fire at it such a good plan, either. "Alright, but we have to go fast. Just zoom across to the shuttle as as quickly as possible, then detonate the bomb once you're clear...." I sense MacK's death coming...

I thought that Jim, Thok, and MacK were going to get into weapon crates (and maybe some of the clones too) and that I would fly that crate over to the CIS cruiser with Garviel on it, so that we can go and free Garviel undetected while Wouwie and JD stay back on the gunship and create a distraction and/or get back-up. But now I'm not so sure anymore. What is going to be the distraction? The gunship or the weapon crates? And what goes into those crates? Us, or some kind of bomb? If it's a bomb, where did it come from, and what is it supposed to blow up? What is the gunship going to do? It would be great if someone would clear these things up for me and if everyone here would be a little more specific about these kinds of things in their posts in the future. -JD- Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) As Jim, MacK and Adam got into the crates, Oky put on his jetpack.The clone troops lay down so as not to be noticed. As Oky and the others took off JD and Rex leapt from cover. The droids opened fire and the clones aimed. JD: Steady! Rex: Open fir- JD: WAIT! Attack procedure 213! Rex: Roger! The clones fired at the side of a droid fighter. The wing exploded causing it to collide with another droid. Then they started to fire at the other three. One exploded and the other did an ovasive manouver (is that how you spell it?) and pelted the clones with proton torpedos. A large explosion followed, killing four clones. As the droid fighter lost control and crashed, JD ran on top of the RPG. He got his chaingun and screamed "OVER HERE YOU RUST BUCKET!" The droid, obviously offended by this statement turned and flew towards him. JD jumped into the air, just at the right time so he landed on the droid. The droid said something in a computer language and did a roll. JD hung on to the wing, and the droid began to fly normally again. He clambered back up and picked up his chaingun which was caught in the other wing. He ran to its head and aimed. "Sweet dreams." The droids head was ripped apart by the chaingun and JD had no choice but to jump. The fighter exploded and the shockwave caused JD to travel even further. Luckily Oky had seen what had happened and had swooped over. JD landed on top of MacK. Jim: Nice of you to drop in! JD: Great work Oky! Sorry MacK. MacK: Its....OK. JD: Take me down. I'll go back and help out the clones with the gunship. We may be able to fix it with peices from the droid fighters. But you lot carry on. As JD watched the others fly off into the distance he wondered how he came to be with normal people, not soldiers, as brave as them. Edited October 13, 2008 by Jammiedodger714

He didn't like to put his fate in others hands, but this time, he had no choice. Adam jolted when he heard the noise of a comotion outside. The distraction? He could only hope. Not long afterward, he bruised his forehead as the box thunked into something hard.

Oky Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) That's a very good post, JD, but it's obvious that you're confused since you seem to think that we're still on Hoth. We're not on the planet, we're in the orbit of it (meaning in space) and there is nothing for you to stand on besides the gunship and maybe droid fighters or asteroids. Therefore, it would be good if you could change your post just a little bit so that it makes sense for a space setting. Oh, and "ovasive manouver" is spelled "evasive maneuver". And it looks like we're going with the plan that I initially thought was right, so here we go: As the battle was raging on behind him, Oky Wan floated off toward the large cruiser where they believed Garviel to be on. He was carrying a large weapon crate in each hand. One contained Adam and Thok, the other Jim and MacK. But both crates weighed nothing in the empty void of space. The distraction seemed to be working since they got through without any problems. They could only hope that there wouldn't be too many losses in that battle. Oky Wan was aiming for the hangar bay since that was the only place where they would be able to enter the ship. As they got closer, Oky could see General Grievous' starfighter, the Soulless One, standing alongside the other droid fighters in the hangar. Apparently, the Droid General had fled here. This will definitely complicate our mission, Oky Wan thoguht. After a few minutes, he had reached the hangar bay door. Since his flight speed was quite low, he was able to pass through the deflector shield. But once he had passed through, something happened that he hadn't expected: Now that they were inside the ship, the gravity generators took effect on them, and Oky Wan was suddenly carrying the weight of 4 persons and 2 crates in his hands. Since that was way too much for him and his jetpack to handle, they all plummeted down to the metal floor, causing a loud noise to echo throughout the whole hangar. This, of course, alarmed every droid in sight. Quickly, Oky opened the weapon crates to let the others out. "Are we there?" asked Adam in a hopeful voice, rubbing his forehead. "Yes," replied Oky, "but I think I just blew the element of surprise." They raised their weapons as they were being surrounded by droids... There - I noobified myself to create a cliffhanger. Happy? ''Alpha Bravo, this is Delta One, do you copy?'' sounded out the radio. ''Delta One, this is Alpha Bravo, are you our much needed support?'' JD asked. ''Yep, we are. Are you the only ones left?'' Delta 1 asked. ''Euh..No...We got some people inside the capital CIS ship..I repeat, we got men inside the main CIS Ship.. So..Do not fire directly at vulnerable spots! Only to take out cannons!'' JD answered. ''Copy that Alpha Bravo, over and out.'' ''Okay, let's give the droid a warm welcome!'' a clone said.
