The piece works fine. The decos just don't appear. If and when I integrate the 76798 .g file from the revision, it gives that result you saw in the photo, even with the .g1 and .g2 files installed in the proper folder. May I please have further assistance?

Try using the files in THIS pack. These are the latest files for that part in my own folders. So these should work.

Decos work now! I replaced everything related to this piece. Thanks you!

Hello everyone! I'm manager of Biopack modification for Stud.io. I've noticed, that month ago some parts from our pack, which contain various bionicle pieces, were added into this LDD parts batch.

Some models, that features in BioPack, are distributed under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, which, despite allowing re-distribution, also requires leaving credit and keeping license to any distributions and edits of those files. I'm ask you to add attribution to these parts or remove them. This includes following parts: 43559 Bionicle Shoulder Armor, 53564 Bionicle Piraka Torso with 2 Ball Joint.

Some other parts from Biopack were used. I recommend contacting authors (if contact info is needed for any model authorship, I can give those), to avoid any issues (I already met one of those and had to remove part from Biopack because of that).

Also Part 21562 "Large Figure Armor, Leg Shin Guard with Ball Joint Socket" originates from Mecabricks, which, as I know, aren't allowed in your modification, I believe you'll want to remove those.

If LDD community needs more Bionicle parts, we are open for cooperation, as we can provide updated models for parts currently absent in LDD library.

The authors are added in the *.xml file:

Orginal Author: Lehvak Nuva

Of which the parts were taken from here.
The 3D data of part 21562 comes from this pack as well.

We are always open for contributions, especially for Bionicle parts!

That's not correct for all parts. Lehvak Nuva made 43559 Bionicle Shoulder Armor and 53564 Bionicle Piraka Torso with 2 Ball Joint, but other parts you added are made by other people. If you checked some info files inside the archive, you would've find this link. It is chart tracking all known bionicle model pieces and if they available in vanila stud.io or in biopack. It also features model authors.

By the way, I still think that actual license appended to the parts should be mentioned, there were some situations of old biopack version usage Lehvak Nuva didn't like, because of that he asked me to add license to his parts.

Also, why so small and so, I'd say, random selection of bionicle parts is present?

You mean, mention the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 license?

I will correct the author of those parts in the next update.

It takes quite some time to create collision data for these mechanical shapes. That's why I slowly started with adding them. So, if you want to contribute, please! That would be amazing.

Yes

Not sure if I can do anything about that, but some models, for example Shoulder Armor and Mask Inner Glass were updated since the last version, I think newer models can be provided for both projects. Modelers who contribute to Biopack are all gathered on one single Discord server, if you're interested, you can join it to be informed about all updates

Got a few last 28631 decals for you. I hope I'm not skirting too close to the deadline.

I tried to stick to the UV map @jester provided, but I'm still not 100% confident they'll fit correctly, so please let me know.

No, the deadline might be next week Saturday. There are still a few parts in progress and some decorations that I need to check.

Thanks a lot! Decorations for Set 853195 Brick Calendar will be ready this weekend (currently working through the day numbers then only the month names left), so stay tuned (the weekday abbreviations use the “Chalet Comprimé Hong Kong 1960” while the rest continue to use the “Chalet London 1960” font, I have both fonts successfully installed on my laptop so everything can be produced accurately)! However, for this bunch to work Decoration support needs to be added to the two main vertical surfaces of the 2x10 Brick to display the month names. All Decoration PNG files will be 1024px times 1024px as usual for the maximum display quality, while all text will be in Black (RGB value: 27/42/52) and the font size scaled up according to scale.

P.S., I hope that the vintage Decorations can be added to LDD too even without official Decoration IDs. Currently, we have the 1x6 door arch, 1x4 car front and the 2x6x3 flowers. The 3x4 (roof tile) Bright Yellow car front can be added once Decoration support is added to the main slope as the Decoration was already added to LDD in the last update. Once I finish the Brick Calendar I will return to the remaining three vintage decorations and finish converting these into LDD Decorations.

The remaining three vintage Decorations are finally ready and can be downloaded here. All Decoration PNG files are 1024px times 1024px as usual for the maximum display quality and the RGB values of official LEGO Colours have been used. Decoration ID is 81780 for Boy and 81781 for Girl, while Decoration ID of the Green Creature’s Face is unknown, similar to many of the other Arch designs listed in the Bricklink Database. The base Arch shapes (Bright Red, Black and Dark Green) have been included in the original images within Microsoft PowerPoint as a location reference for the other components of each Decoration, but I made them transparent when outputting the PNG files, so everything should still fit perfectly when added to LDD.

To accurately convert everything into SVG images before editing in PowerPoint, I had to copy and insert the cropped original scan results (BMP images) into Vector Graphics Editor Inkscapes then use the “Trace Bitmap” function to slowly extract each component. The eyes, dots, curves and smiles could all be extracted directly, but the two Bright Yellow shapes for Boy and Girl plus the Black borders of the Green Creature’s Face took at least five hours total to extract, as I often had to zoom in to edit individual nods when required to help smoothen various curved edges and fill in gaps where colours have faded away in reality. Therefore, the end results here may not be the most accurate, but I did try my best to edit all of the curved edges as much as I could to make them smooth and completely filled.

If I find any more printed LEGO Bricks within my collections, I will convert them into LDD Decorations once I find time to do so. Keep up the great work as usual and thanks in advance!

I'd like to included. It's awesome to be able to add more Bionicle/constraction parts to LDD.

I will also mention the CC license for the parts.

Hello there! I am Kingsidorak, more known on YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram under Kingsidorak_art.
I am a moderator in that discord, and you can join it here: Bionicle 3D Modeling I also have my own public Discord, which Lehvak Nuva is in as well, and you can join that here: Kingsidorak's Server

Please be aware that the models Kryakwa is talking about being from other people are often used without their knowledge. Those should be avoided to respect those modelers, since he has no interest in respecting them until they find out and come to him to ask for the models to not appear in future versions... Which is often useless because they usually find out long after he released the files to hundreds of users, while he expects others to respect his wishes for how BioPack is used regardless if some of those models have licenses attached to them or not.
Lehvak Nuva is directly making parts for Biopack. Those and some other specific ones are fine to use, because they're directly contributed, but some models Lehvak is putting out are edits of other's models, and you should be aware of which ones those are. I don't know how well the credits list is, as I explicitly do not allow the models I make from scratch to be in the BioPack, and yet one of my released parts was on the list marked as being available in the pack, or something. It's been a while since that happened

Also, keep in mind that this is the same guy who's telling you to contact authors, after he himself has taken them from free sources without contacting them, then editing them, and redistrubting them.

I'm having a bit of trouble running LDD to POV-Ray converter with the custom parts for the first time. I got an error message saying "Unable to generate necessary includes. Part ID 69729 is not supported by the current brickset version" (sometimes it says a different part ID, though). Does anyone know anything about that?

Trying to add the latest parts pack results in half the parts group icons becoming question marks. It's a fresh install of LDD 4.3. Am I screwing something up here or is there a way to fix this?

Hi all

I hope I have the right area but I am searching for the latest LDD parts to be uploaded into the program (I have version 4.3.11).

Does anyone have the latest 'complete' parts which also includes item 32952.

Cheers

Since the latest updates of LDD, most Flat Tiles are now made decoratable, with exceptions including Part 14719 Flat Tile Corner 1x2x2, Part 6881/Part 10202 Flat Tile 6x6 and Part 22385 Flat Tile 2x3 W/Angle (scannable shields of the NEXO Knights series) (all other irregular, triangular and circular Flat Tiles are skipped). Official printed versions of Flat Tile 6x6 do exist (at least for Part 10202) and the scannable shields are all printed, so decoration support can be added for these Flat Tiles once decoration image files are available. For Part 14719 Flat Tile Corner 1x2x2 no printed versions exist at the moment, but given that it will be the last regular Flat Tile without decoration support, I still hope that we can soon decorate it in LDD. For example, I recently added a custom pattern (decorations) onto the floor of a shop I built in LDD which is formed by mostly 2x2 Flat Tiles; and in irregular locations, I used 1x1, 1x2 and Corner 1x2x2 Flat Tiles to fill up the gaps and to maintain the square arrangement. Enabling decoration support for Part 14719 Flat Tile Corner 1x2x2 means that I can finally complete my floor pattern by adding decorations to the brick.

Can someone please explain how to manually find new decorated bricks in LDD? I have installed the latest parts pack and when I open "210501.lxf" file I can see 90498 part with Millenium Falcon sticker, but I can't find manually this part in "Bricks" section of LDD.
Also in main topic it's not described how to proceed with "Palettes" folder that goes with parts pack, especially with "2020NewPreColoredParts" folder.

You have to add the part to the 3D space and use the Decoration Tool. I believe I added that part to LDD.paxml as well, which includes the legacy LDD parts.

The same as with the other folders. The 2020NewPreColoredParts folder should be added to the Palettes folder. It then creates a "set" in the Mindstorms mode of LDD which is called "2020NewPreColoredParts". This "set" includes all new printed, stickered and multi-colored edited and new parts.

Yes, fount it! Sorry.

Should I see all those decorated bricks unders some "set" when I switch to Mindstorms theme? Does not seem Mindstorms theme has changed.

Yes, indeed. When you click the yellow box in the lower right corner, you can select the new parts.
