But on the other hand I can't seem to find a set or real version of it. Do sets ever get canceled? Maybe it's the LEGO brick equivalent of the character whose only scene got cut from the finished film. Quote

However, there still seems to be a problem with a few Decorations. As shown here, the three NASA Decorations are still not displayed correctly despite support already added to the DecorationMapping.xml file and are all present in the corresponding .lxfml file. I then tried using the Decoration Tool on Part 76798 and nothing showed up. Also, I compared the latest 21051 file with the Decorated Parts 21051 Image from Bricksafe and noticed that the four Part 60601 should all be decorated, but only the lower two are currently decorated and when using the Decoration Tool the top two Decorations seem to be missing. Keep up the good work! Quote

It might be more a "digital only" part maybe or a part which they have in the pipeline but not released yet or a cut character as you say. An example of a digital only part is the Bantha of which no physical version exists as of today - at least not officially released from LEGO. Quote

Kingsidorak Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) Hello everyone, I am Kingsidorak, I make models for custom and official parts from scratch. I'm doing a pack for Stud.io replacing a ton of models as well as adding in a ton of models we don't yet have digitally. I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of an explainer on how porting models to LDD works, so I may judge if it's something I'd want to do. Though it's outdated, here is an example of some of my more so recent work, rendered using Stud.io Edited May 11, 2021 by Kingsidorak Quote

I simply downloaded the latest Primitives.rar release file from Dropbox and copied everything over directly. I only had to manually update the DecorationMapping.xml file to preserve my own custom Decorations, but I made sure that everything new was copied over. Unless something went wrong here I think I did everything right, but the two other Part 60601 Decorations are definitely missing. EDIT: Apparently the version on Dropbox is missing the latest .g, .g1 and .g2 files for the three NASA Decorations, but the GitHub version finally worked. However, the two other Part 60601 Decorations are also missing on the GitHub version as well. EDIT 2: I found the issue regarding the two missing Part 60601 Decorations. All four Decorations are correctly applied in the DecorationMapping.xml file, but the Decoration PNG files for "24657" and "24414" are missing from the latest "Decorations" folder on both release platforms. In summary, the Dropbox release needs to be updated with the latest .g, .g1 and .g2 files for the three NASA Decorations, then both the Dropbox version and the GitHub version need to be updated with the missing "24657" and "24414" Decoration PNG files. Thanks in advance! Edited May 11, 2021 by suenkachun Quote
Stephan Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 The decorations are added. The problem with the skirt is fixed. It was mainly an issue with the heigth of the 2nd attachment point of the hip parts. Download 16706, 41879, 3815 and 65753. Quote

The Mugbearer Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Question to the knowing: are stud to technic pin hole connections considered legal or not? Quote
SylvainLS Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Yes, but only one stud (e.g., one 1x1 plate in one hole, not a 1x2 plate in two holes), and beware that the Technic holes are higher than a side stud, so there’s alignment problems (that means nothing should go past the technic brick and sit on the parts that uses the technic hole (“overhanging”) or that you shouldn’t mix technic holes + half pins and side studs.). Search for the PDF Stressing the Elements by Jamie Berard. Quote

You can import your *.dat file in Brick Studio and add colissions there. The only thing left to add after that is connections. That's it in a nut shell. Could someone with a bit more Blender abilities help me with these two parts: I have problems with the outlines. The parts should consist of an upper and a lower section and should have the separation line between those sections. If you think you can assist, please send me a message and I will send you the files I have for these parts. EDIT: fixed, thanks to @polymaker Edited May 13, 2021 by Stephan Quote

I am asking because there's apparently a lot of that connectivity missing for multiple bricks with pin holes. Quote

BrokenEye Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Would it be at all possible to get a version of MINI UPPER P. W/ARM COR.KNOB that's laterally flipped so that the robot arm is on the left rather than the right, or is that against the rules for not being a real part? Quote

Stephan Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 I think you are a bit too quick with that part. It is brand new and there is no 3D model available yet. Quote
