Royal Knight Harbor Outpost by BrickJohnny: Viking Hall by Heimdallsen: The thing I thought was really attractive about that hall at first is the pattern on the side. I nearly voted for it. But looking closer, it is impossible to achieve. The parts that form the design are overlapping with each other so this is impossible unless the design is no longer flat or the parts are cut. The render from the sides shows them clearly overlapping in a flat design. The roof also looks a bit weak (big gaps in the sides). It is strange how some parts of the wall have the masonry brick pointing brick side out, other parts brick side in. The seats inside are also a bit strange. They have used the Friends feet holders, but I wonder how the minifigures sit at the very low tables. The Viking Hall is really cool, i like the colour scheme, woodcutting, and the minifigs choice. Yeah, I use brickforge ones. Much nicer! Quote
Aine Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Oh, I missed htat cheat. But it's still lovely building. Yep, those helms are really cool, I'm saving for a dozen of them! Quote

Lego David Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 All those Castle projects sure are great, but I feel like none of them ever go anywhere. I think it would be better if all the Castle fans supported one single project (the one with the biggest chance of being approved) instead of so many. Quote

Whilst not the sole reason; votes from this thread probably helped towards the Medieval Blacksmith being in review at present, and I do believe this, and the increased amount of votes on other ideas, has been a motivating factor for other talented people to submit their ideas too. Secondarily, whether you like something or not is highly subjective, so focusing on one idea above all others would split the voter-base. It would also show favouritism. At present there is nothing stopping people supporting as many Historical ideas as they please, and I personally have supported probably 100% on the list, so filtering that down would hurt these types of ideas in general. All that said, if you only vote for one, then I'm glad you made a visit and found this index useful. Quote

If I like 10 Castle projects, why not show LEGO that instead of just showing them that I like 1? The more votes Castle projects get, the more attention the theme will get and the more likely LEGO will be to revive it. That said... most of the Castle stuff on Ideas isn't really suitable to become an actual set, either because they're too big/complicated or too plain and unimaginative. Quote
TeriXeri Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 (edited) I do support like 10+ Castle IDEAS that are ongoing right now. Especially lately there's been a lot of smaller to medium sized designs that are great. But there also have been multiple IDEAS that are simply too huge imo, I prefer set-sized builds, up to like larger sets like Medieval Market Village. Edited January 25, 2020 by TeriXeri Quote

My only concern is whether Lego wants to rake up the past by contrasting too many old themes to newer 'fancy' ones. I hope after Pirate Bay we may be let to have something castle based unqie as well. I'm getting a bit annoyed how IDEAS turned out to be a license fest as well. But let's get it to 10.000 first I guess. Edited February 3, 2020 by Medzomorak Quote

TeriXeri Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 (edited) I never like it when they use fleshie figures in IDEAS when it's not a Licensed idea. (it makes sense for the Tolkien one but the 3 below there seem not licensed) Of course LEGO can/will change it if it makes it up there, but it doesn't feel right.
