I just got my new idea turned down... And there is no pirate in it ???  But now i tried to change it to POTC theme. They are allowed.. If its also i turned down.. then it doent matter if the fortress or other pirate releated will make 10K.. they will not approve..

Thank you, @Piraten. So the submission is an Imperial Fort and Inn/Tavern.

And did the LEGO Ideas Team provide a reason as to why your submission was rejected?

They gave the same reason that @lomis got. But I changed the story to POTC. On Lego ideas they still let in POTC. And since 1st April, there are 12 new pirate related ideas. 

And its an outpost  Caswell Point.

No thats the only point. But I can re-submit. They also wrote this in the email. 

If possible, you can still fix the issue with your submission and re-enter it. Unfortunately, if you re-enter it without fixing what we've asked, we won't be able to approve it. In some cases, we unfortunately, can't allow you to re-enter your submission as we know we wouldn't be able to accept it even with changes. 

But they don't tell what changes you need to make.

Have you asked them?

We need to get to the bottom of this. Understandable they don't want to release another shipwreck island in the future, but there is a serious issue if they intend to reject all pirate submissions and submissions related to the pirate theme.

Thank you, Piraten!  You've done well to provide us with this update.

It would be very unfortunate if the LEGO Ideas Team have decided they will not develop future pirate related concepts until further notice.

@Piraten and @lomis, both had their submitted Imperial buildings rejected.

Perhaps LEGO is planning to release some Pirate sets from the Imperials side in the end of 2020 or in 2021?

I don't think. There 5 Imperial mocs after the new update in thier rules.  But its strange that the 12 new mocs on ideas at the moment was approved. I will reach out to one of my contacts at Lego. Maybe she can help us with some answers.

March 25, I tried to submit a project same day. It was turne down and that was fair.  These 5 was approved after the 25. Imperial Watchtower, Seagull Bay Lighthouse Imperial Fortress , Pirates of the Caribbean: The Endeavour,  Fortress Caribbean Imperial, English Fort

And there is 12 pirate related including these 5. after the 25.

Looking at the website above ^ it says they've updated the rules on the 17th of April, and it's not just Pirate Bay anymore but Pirate Ship concept as well. I think that means no ships will be allowed unless it's anything related to POTC, and the ships currently in the supporting stage won't be accepted if they get the 10k support ?

 I hope they will. I’m convinced that it if my idea hit 10.000 it will not be approved.. they will make a new series..

With all of this in mind, the Caribbean Clipper ideas submission might not get passed either

"Pirates of the Barracuda Bay" must be selling like crazy!

So instead of paying 1% of sales to possible future successful Pirates fan designers... just change the LEGO Ideas rules of submission, do not approve any set, even if it hits 10K votes and it's really good... and problem solved.

Pity for all the fan designers who have submitted and want to submit Pirates Theme projects.
