Batbrick Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 i do not believe it was this man who was the murderer friends, whoever has done this horror was an expert, and would not have left such an obvious mark. I think some people may have unconvincing stories, though I regret to say it Brian Demetrium could've pretended he was drunk, a perfect alibi. But then again, there is Pencoin, who semed very suspicious yesterday, I will keep an eye on him..
Hinckley Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 So we can all have a conversation on even ground, I'll vote: Tiny PiesRUs As I said, I was up all night caring for my sick wife and baby girl. As I went back to check on them I saw a cloaked figure hop out of the window of my daughter's bedroom and run off into the hills towards Palatine. I chased after him but became entangled in a briar and cut my face freeing myself, after which...I... ...fell down a small embankment. My wife and daughter were unharmed, but I fail to see what he would've been doing in my home in the first place. Clearly none of us are safe. You may condemn me if you wish. I have every confidence I will be able to prove my innocence to the consul. But, I think it's more important to keep ourselves and our families safe. We should form a Peace Squad to protect the villages and the people. What say you? Shall we form a Peace Squad to patrol the streets for suspicious activity?
Hinckley Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Hinckley! Explain yourself! Goggleson, that's enough wine for you. It isn't even mid-day yet. I think your drinking is becoming a problem. I have already explained myself and am now proposing the formation of a Peace Squad to keep our families safe. (Re-read my post please) What say you?

But then again, there is Pencoin, who semed very suspicious yesterday, I will keep an eye on him.. Actually, I think Piranha's murderer is part of the government, as he was almost lynched yesterday. I doubt the rebels would've carried out the task, as they would've expected us to do it instead. Piranha's killer must've been someone who voted against him yesterday - wouwie or Pencoin. Since Pencoin was tired today, I take it that he committed the murder, although I do think he might be a townie. As for Hinckley, I believe we should try to lynch him today, I find his story very unconvincing, and he is clearly starting up another alliance amongst the government to lull us into killing one another.

This is Rome, not the Wild West. We don't lynch people. I don't see where you're getting your hunch about me. I suggest you concentrate your efforts on the real problem. We're all in danger. I'm not afraid to face the consul, but as an act of good will I will unvote: Tiny PiesRUs.

Hmmm, you may be right, I hate to condemn anyone, but I find his scratchers to unproffesional for a hitman, so: Vote: Pencoin , I am sorry my friend.. This is Rome, not the Wild West. We don't lynch people. I don't see where you're getting your hunch about me. I suggest you concentrate your efforts on the real problem. We're all in danger. Dragonator Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Goggleson, that's enough wine for you. It isn't even mid-day yet. I think your drinking is becoming a problem. I have already explained myself and am now proposing the formation of a Peace Squad to keep our families safe. (Re-read my post please) What say you? Hinckley, I think your idea is a good one. A peace squad would be very helpful. The only problem is, that we would not be able to tell whether any rebels infiltrate it. Instead of fighting for peace it could turn against us and cause chaos. We would not want to see this happen. Therefor I do not think it is plausible unless we can validly prove our loyalty to the government. Actually, I think Piranha's murderer is part of the government, as he was almost lynched yesterday. I doubt the rebels would've carried out the task, as they would've expected us to do it instead. You, I am becoming unsure of. I agree with you on your reasoning for the killer, however we should not be too hasty. As for Hinckley, may I ask why you find his story unconvincing? As for me, I am starting to see Pencoin as being very suspicious. I am glad you have all explained where you were last night. There are some people who have not yet spoken, I think they are trying to hide something. Jipay, Lt. Veers and Castlestrike666 have not said anything yet! This makes me very suspicious, I think people who try to hide by not saying anything when spoken too are very guilty. So I ask you three, where were you last night?
Scouty Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I have already explained myself and am now proposing the formation of a Peace Squad to keep our families safe. (Re-read my post please) What say you? Indeed he has. A formation of a 'Peace Squad' will most likely not succeed. Is there a plan you have to go about this. I have my suspicions!
Dragonator Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Hmmm, you may be right, I hate to condemn anyone, but I find his scratchers to unproffesional for a hitman, so:Vote: Pencoin , I am sorry my friend.. My friend, I have to agree with you. Someone needs to go to court for this, and I think Pencoin is the most likely suspect. Therefor I Vote: Pencoin
Atoll Dweller Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Hmm.. I find it strange that TinyPiesRUs claims to trust Hinckley, yet when something happens he is the first one that he blames. Therefore, I vote TinyPiesRUs.

Well, I think it may be time to reveal myself. I am a Torturer for the government. Last night, I decided to invstigate Hinckley. I caught him and began to torture him. At last he revealed to me that he was the Leader of the Avantine Hill Plebs. You must understand why I kept my identity a secret, as I'm sure I would've been murdered had I revealed it. However, now that I have told you my identity, I hope that a bodyguard among us will protect me from the bloodthirsty plebs. So, I suggest we lynch (Yes, you heard what I said ) Hinckley today, then I will torture Pencoin tonight.

Therefore, I vote TinyPiesRUs. Please don't fault TinyPies for his accusations. I'm sure he's afraid for his safety and that of his families. It's natural to want to blame someone. Let's try to keep level heads about ourselves though and not get out of hand. The most important thing is to try and stay safe... Well, I think it may be time to reveal myself. I was tortured by nobody and have my family as an alibi. I find it highly unlikely that a torturer for the government would release the Leader of the Avantine Hill Plebs. A torturer's duty would have been to bring the leader to the consul or execute him on the spot. What say you to that, TinyPies?
Username_Taken Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 My friends, I am sorry about what happened to dear Mark, and we must get to the bottom of this murder! I for one do not know who to trust, even after what the man before me said. I think we still need to hear from a few more members before we decide as a group on who to convict... -Corbulo
iamded Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 No, not uncooperative you were asleep. Oh, that's good to hear. Sorry again. I think some people may have unconvincing stories, though I regret to say it Brian Demetrium could've pretended he was drunk, a perfect alibi. But then again, there is Pencoin, who semed very suspicious yesterday, I will keep an eye on him.. Me? I tell you, this headache I've had all morning did not come from pretending. And if I were, I would have had to pretend to be passed out for some time, and I am not the very patient type. Not to mention I would have gone home had I been awake. I don't think anyone would willingly sleep in the gutter. I was hoping we could actually get to know each other a bit better Barnabus, as I am a big fan of your fish, and you seem like a nice person. I agree with you about Penimus, for a few reasons... Penimus (Pencoin) hasn't explained what he did after the events at the wine bar, just that he isn't much of a sleeper and was awake most the night. This also doesn't explain why he showed up late. And he voted against Pirahna... very suspicious indeed, so I vote: Pencoin.

Maybe you are the Leader of the Avantine Hill Plebs and you just want to be rid of Hinckley! And we don't "lynch" in Rome, we convict like civilized beings. But unless you can convince me that Hinckley should be the one convicted, me vote will remain for you. May God have mercy on your soul.

My apologies friend, it was out of place for me to assume things, i believe you now, and too hope we can better get to know each other brian, you are a good man, and thankyou for your comments on my fish.

Now wait just a minute, Acacius. You've certainly become a little defensive for Hinckley, havn't you? I can only assume you're another one of those thilthy Aventine thugs. Now, if I had the ability to both investigate and kill people at night, I would be a bit too powerful for this game.. err, life. Thus, I can only investigate people's roles, and thn report back to the people. And may God have mercy on my soul? By Jupiter, if we fin out you're a Christian, it won't be long before you're seen to the circus yourself!

Which God were you thinking of? As a thought, I do believe what TinyPiesRUs is saying. If Hinckley were to be sentenced to death, then we would find out his role. If it were to be different to what TinyPiesRUs claims it is, then we would know that he is lying and we could convict him. Because of this, he would not be silly enough to lie about this and thus must be telling the truth, otherwise he is committing himself to death. Either way, we will find out soon. My vote remains with Pencoin at the moment though, as I still believe he is the real threat, and that he killed Pirahna. We still haven't heard anything from those other three, I am becoming very suspicious of them, it is unfair if we work hard to figure this mystery out and they end up being victorious because they haven't said anything. Perhaps one of them should be next to go...
Atoll Dweller Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Now I may (possibly) be a Christian but how dare you claim me to be one of those horrible Aventines? I just thought you were a little quick to accuse him is all. If you were telling the truth about him being an Aventine then I would forget being civilized and lynch him myself! But even though we disagree, I Unvote TinyPiesRUs. However I will keep an eye on you "torturer".
Trexxen Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I must say, the information I have on "Hinckley" and "Pencoin", as I have heard them called as well, is staggering. At this point, however, the public opinion is with Pencoin...and I doubt there's any changing of that. And so, vote Pencoin. Should you be innocent, may Zeus watch over you and the consul have mercy on you...should you be scum, may you burn in the pits of Hades for eternity.
MagPiesRUs Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Should you be innocent, may Zeus watch over you and the consul have mercy on you...should you be scum, may you burn in the pits of Hades for eternity. Great, so we've got a Christian and a Greek now.. I thought a vote count would be useful right about now.. Pencoin: 5 (ricecracker, Batbrick, dragonator, iamded, Trexxen) Hinckley: 1 (TinyPiesRUs)
Scouty Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I think I can confirm my suspicions, but do please forgive me If I am wrong! Vote: Pencoin I would be a bit too powerful for this game.. err, life. Is life not a game? To play the right cards for your own sake?
Atoll Dweller Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Is life not a game? To play the right cards for your own sake? Ah, that it is. Let us see, I believe the vote is now: Pencoin:6 Hinckley:1 I would prefer to wait and watch a little bit longer before casting my final vote.
Dragonator Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Do remember that all votes need to be in before the day is up, which is soon. The afternoon is wearing on... With all the attention on two particular people, we are forgetting that there are others out there who are hiding their identities still. Show yourselves, or forever hold your peace!
