The Mining Guild is proud to continue our long partnership with Santhe/Sienar Technologies as we announce the launch of the TIE Tunneler.  Building off the proven TIE vehicle system, the tunneler will allow for rapid excavating and resource extraction in areas where blasting is unsafe or unfeasible.

The vehicle is currently undergoing surface testing on Cadinth.  Once surface testing is complete, the vehicle will be partly disassembled for its 4 kilometer trip down to the bottom of the Huttuk Aurodium Mine.

Spoiler

Thanks for viewing - C & C welcome!  Larger pics available on my bricksafe.

I based the treads off of the TIE Crawler set (7664) and used the TIE Advanced Prototype (75082) as the starting point for my cockpit.  This previous TIE Crawler MOC gave me the idea to use the Nexo shields to help smooth the angles of the tread covers.

Here's the landscape by itself:

When you mix the Tie Crawler with Power miners...

You get an awesome mobile space driller/crusher !

Making combo models with SW and Power Miners/Rock Raiders could become a thing in the future.

Nice fresh design based on the Tie Crawler, very appropriate for the faction. Does it fly?

Thanks!  I suppose it could fly, but it would be brief and the landing would be suboptimal...
