Figures look great, shame about the lack of Nancy, Steve, or Jonathan, if that’s true. Holding out hope for a second D2C, Simpsons style

it is true.

Seems to be definitely based on season 1, so I’d expect Joyce’s house with the lights and letters on the wall.  Very Interested in how they’ll do that. I am gonna make sure I’m at that midnight launch in London!

There will probably be a feature for Joyce to break open part of the wall with her axe

Hmmm, well, I can't be too upset by that given that this set is actually seeing the light of day, though the addition of those three could've made for the most ideal lineup. Not to mention, it would've been ELEVEN figures, as opposed to just eight. :shrug_oh_well:

I’m intrigued at what other new moulds we could see in this set, seeing as both dogs seen so far have new ones. Maybe a hairpiece with the bandana for Lucas? Otherwise I imagine they’ll just use Finn’s hair. Ron Weasley’s hair in black will work for Mike. Will might need a new piece though, the closest to his is probably the bob piece from Indiana Jones? But that’s too short. I’m gonna predict that Eleven is in the Jean jacket and dress, with the wig and maybe an eggo box as an accessory? A 1x1 eggo would be cool. I hope we also get all 4 bikes for the boys, and walkie  talkies

I think this is LEGO’s way of testing the adult audience, if this set does well I imagine we’ll get a slew of knew adult themes.

But I wonder with the number of iconic characters, vehicles and locations left out that LEGO might even do a follow up wave.

I doubt there'll be any other molds, two is a rarity for D2C's. The Demodogs are from Season 2, this set is strictly based off of Season 1

Will uses the old Ron Weasley hairpiece from the 2000's

I wondered where you got demodogs from in my post, it seems ‘figs’ autocorrected to ‘dogs’

I hope that isn’t true about Will, that hair isn’t accurate whatsoever

personally I wouldn’t be surprised if we got another mould or two. The simpsons D2Cs has a lot of moulds in them, the POTC one had a couple. Never say never

Will uses that hairpiece, I can confirm that

The Simpsons D2C did the same as Doctor Who or Steamboat Willie, they had a Dimensions pack or CMF series release alongside them, thus "cheating" those molds into them.

The Silent Mary was actually a rarity amongst D2C's, using two new molds: Salazar's hairpiece and the ghost shark. You have to also remember that that set had no stickers or exclusives prints though, probably to compensate for the two exclusive molds.

Lego is already putting in enough budget for this set, I'm personally happy about the two new molds we are getting for it, it's a sign of how much Lego is betting on this theme. Especially with Dustin, he really didn't need a new mold - I was expecting the Hobbit hair and his hat as an accessory. It just goes to show that they went the extra mile with this theme

In that POTC set, apart from the printed torso and legs both the book and the bottle piece both use prints, are they not exclusive? It also contained several new fabric pieces.

On a separate note I wonder if LEGO will have to see ID before let customers purchase the set :laugh_hard:

I don't understand why everyone is so surprised by this set.  Is it really that hard to believe?

The minifigures look fantastic, and the selection sounds great.  Looking forward to checking it out, but it's on the expensive side.  It's as if LEGO thinks adults will only buy sets with 2000+ pieces.

Honestly this feels like it belongs to a different reality

The second movie just bombed hard and the last thing they need now is a controversy... I hope they know what they are doing

Of course it does, it's from the Upside Down :laugh_hard:

Seriously though, I highly doubt this would lead to controversy. The set is clearly marked 16+, is marketed towards adults and is a D2C set rather than a widely-available regular theme. Besides, the brand fit is there with Stranger Things having the same spirit as a lot of the 80's classics that TLG have covered (Ghostbusters, Goonies, ET and Gremlins) and the set itself won't portray anything unsuitable. One could argue that the set might lead to children wanting to see the series, but that's in the responsibility of the parents and there are more obvious factors that may influence kids that way (peers, the internet and whatnot) :purrr:

LEGO Stranger Things (75810) set with the two minifigures Dustin Henderson and Demogorgon hit high waves yesterday afternoon. Only a few independent LEGO news blogs have reported it, almost all news sites recognized by LEGO have once again pretended that the image does not exist and that the topic is simply silent.

Well, anyway, we have been able to find out more details about the set and we would like to share this with you after the great feedback yesterday in the blog and on our social media channels. According to the information, the LEGO Stranger Things Set number 75810 will be available for fans with a LEGO VIP customer loyalty card starting from May 15, 2019 for € 199.99. The regular launch is scheduled for June 1st. The number of parts also seems to be confirmed: 2,287 parts. Among them are eight (!) Minifigures.

As far as the information is concerned, these are the well-known figures of Dustin Henderson and Demogorgon, plus the minifigures of Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, William "Will" Byers, Jane Ives (Eleven), Joyce Byers and Chief Jim Hopper. Given the characters, fans can assume that the set will really be the home of Joyce Byers.

By midnight on the LEGO flagship store in London on May 15, 2019, there are only two weeks left. By then we will also have the official footage for the set available.
