Hi Again,

I can not find an unopened boxed set of 42030 in perfect condition.

I of course will pay as long as the price is not "over the clouds".

I live in Istanbul.

Can anyone help me in this?

Many thanks in advance,

Idris

PS: The admins can lead me to a "buying-selling" topic, if any, because I couldn't find one as a newbie.

There are hundreds of sealed boxes available through bricklink. I have never bought anything through the site myself though.

you may try www.marktplaats.nl

Isn't that Netherlands-only?

I think for trading Lego, the one site that you should really familiarize yourself with, is mentioned by @letsbuild, Bricklink. It's basically a worldwide Lego-specific marketplace website. In the top search bar, type a set number, then on the dropdown that appears, click the set, and you will get to the Catalog page of the set, with some practical info such as year, size and part inventory. Then, use the link "View price guide" to find sellers for New and Used copies of the set. I know it's possible to genearte a list of sellers in your country, but you might need to register an account for that.

Most sellers are AFOLs though, who usually know the value of a set very well, so if a set is highly valued, prepare for a big pricetag. Cheapest New 42030 right now is about €250. But, in my experience, Used is most often very good state :)

No, but it's in the Dutch language but used by Germans, Belgians et Francais too.
Chances are however that you find it there for a reasonable price.

If can help translating things just mail me
No worry, I allready have the "350"
I like yellow things (see hitchhikersguide about yellow things outside your window)

@I_Igor, Many thanks for your reply, all the best to Croatia! Yes you are right, I am a new member and helping me in a topic may seem normal but this, in opinion is pure gentlemanship and that is another issue.

Not everyone would do this, even the member was Turkish.

Please keep in mind that regarding anything about Turkiye, I will help you as much as I can.

Kind Regards and thank you for the bargaining wish.

With older technic set's there are a few options, place the set on the watch list for your local version of ebay and see what pop's up.

facebook groups are another area, they are more active in the Uk, and Europe for the buy and sell side.

use the configurable lists on rebrickable to see what current sets could or would give you parts at reasonable prices to build it.( or build it in a different colour red looks good )

The problem that faces us in NZ is we also attract import duty and Goods and service Tax so a 42030 for 250 euros goes like this

purchase price $420nz freight $100 ( nominal figure but from Europe that's average ) Import duty & GST $154 = grant total of $674nz

You can buy a lot of lego for that money..

Best of luck and welcome to your new way of spending lots of money and time...

Many many thanks for your thorough reply @brickless_kiwi, we have the same problems in Turkiye.

I need to spend some money and time, because of my job. I need to get out of it in some way. It seems that my past LEGO addictions are coming back...
