When I discoved the existance of this part (24014), I was really curious what uses it could possibly have. But when looking up the models that make use of it, I was disappointed: it's only used as a decorative element.

Now I'm planning to build a MOC with a mechanism that actually makes use of this part (already have an idea how). I don't know if I'll succeed, but I was wondering if anyone has ever used this part as a functional element in some mechanism?

Nice! Very clever use of those parts.

It's not Technic, but..... Also used in creator turbo track racer 31070

For the door mechanism.

What do you mean ? Every set that has this part uses it for a mechanism, even if it's always a simple one.

My bad, I actually only looked at technic sets, and only bionicle makes use of those parts (if that can be considered technic...), so I assumed they were only used as decorative parts.

They can be used when you only want a certain rotation that is not 360 degrees I guess using its axle as a limiter.

I'm normally not at all into GBC, but this particular module's mechanism looks like quite something, and I have to build it :)

I don't really like yellow though, and I also barely have any yellow parts, so I'm planning to change it for blue, and I finally got my hands on a couple of those hard-to-come-by 'Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes' in blue, so now I'm all set!

Woah, those are really pretty! Did you get them via BrickLink?
