LEGO in their press release back in 2018 said Harry Potter would be an evergreen theme, so technically it will continue in 2020.

That was never said. But also that doesn’t equal thread, a next year thread comes with the first rumours or leaks. The Harry Potter one was made just cause, I thought the mods would lock it but here we are

My mistake, you're right. I think I must of have mixed it up with another press release.

So, apparently there's rumored to be a Jabba the Hut/Salacious B. Crumb dual-pack coming this December, under the set number 75232 at 240 pieces.

That's exciting to hear. I'm glad that they aren't done with the licensed Brickheadz.

I'm new and this is probably the complete wrong board to post this but i'm wondering if anyone can help me?

Im trying to plan on MOCing this Elie brickheadz but im struggling as to what pieces could be used for her body more specifically the parts underneath the tiles at the front that stick out like 1/4 below the two 1x4s on either side

(see attachment below)

Again Many thanks for having me and your help

Wait, weren't we supposed to see BrickHeadz sets based upon Gravity Falls last year? : shrug_confused:

Yes,this rumor really was, but the sets have not appeared :sceptic:  All hope for 2020!

Thinking back to this rumor, I wonder if this recent piece of news pertaining to LEGO Ideas gives it any legitimacy...

The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Projects Archived Before Review Stage

Quote

Yesterday while I was reporting on The Seven Dwarf’s House hitting 10,000 supporters, I along with some readers noticed that a couple of projects that previously also hit 10k were removed from the list and have been archived. These two sets include Gravity Falls Mystery Shack and Japanese Tea Garden. The official LEGO comments for both projects said:

  • "Regretfully, we have chosen to archive your project and no longer consider it for production for reasons communicated to you privately. Your project will remain visible on LEGO Ideas, but in a status where it can no longer be supported or commented on. This way fans can still admire your creation.

We’re sorry to be the bearers of this disappointing news!"

Okay, thank you for the information. I wonder why the Gravity Falls product idea was archived? What was the reason, @figura?

While they didn't particularly specify, TLG just said that both projects "did not comply with our Terms of Service"...

The Brick Fan - LEGO Releases Statement on LEGO Ideas Archived Projects

I mean, regarding the Mystery Shack, my hunch is that its rejection was on the basis that Lego has already been pursuing/developing products based upon the show beforehand, thereby possibly legitimizing the earlier rumor of the Dipper and Mabel BrickHeadz we heard of last year. For instance, @Foxes Productionz had a LEGO Ideas project based upon Netflix's Stranger Things rejected for submission quite shortly before our first rumor surfaced for the D2C based upon such. In that case though, his project never even got to the support stage, whereas @figura's did and achieved support quite quickly. :shrug_confused:

So, here's what the BrickHeadz theme has to offer for 2020, both confirmed and rumored at this point...

@Digger of Bricks where are these rumrs found? Anywhere credible?

They're as reported by jedijacpenguin and aclego.03 over on Instagram, both trustworthy sources and further verified by @Falconfan1414.

But one I do hope to see is a Sir Topham Hatt brickhead.

Pffft, fat chance at that, as Mattel owns the Thomas & Friends franchise in its entirety...

OMG! Good pun there!

I hear they might sell the rights to Thomas soon though because they claim it's too expensive and children aren't looking at the series like they used to.

Personally, I chalk it up to the stupid changes they've made to the series.

Wait, where've you heard THAT??? :distressed:

This will derail the thread, but imagine if LEGO bought Thomas... *ducks tomato barrage*

I think a more respectable company like Fox or Warner Bros should buy him. He'll have more opportunities there. Especially when it comes to merchandise and Lego has a great relationship with both of those entertainment companies - to keep it Lego related that is.

It's just a rumor right now. But prayers are going up that it's true.

Seriously, I really want to know where you've read or heard that. Maybe a news article, or perhaps a TTTE fan discussion forum of some sort? :def_shrug:

Yes, seriously. I've been digging around through news searches for such to no avail... :hmpf_bad:

That's because its not official nor has it been brought up by Mattel itself. Like I said, it's just a rumor.

Now can we please get back to the topic of this forum, Brickheadz. You know, what people came here to talk about.

At best, recent news has been highlighting financial woes of Mattel's, but nothing as bad to suggest that they're considering selling off IPs that they own. :sceptic:

Sorry, but really, you did bring it up here... :wall:
