SirNadroj Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Hey! Here's a quick break from Fabuland. Actually, I started this before I did Fabuland. This is a commissioned piece by me for Kaminoan, owner of Kaminoan's Fine Clonier Decals. ( http://fineclonier.com/ ) He wanted this so he could put his custom figures in the tanks. The MOC is modular, as you will see in the pics. Thought I'd share this with you. I'm sure Kam will take pictures of the figures in the tanks when he receives it, and I'll pass those pics onto you. (Sorry for the lousy picture quality. I didn't edit these ones, I only resized them. Docking Station w/ Wheel/Spoke/Tanks and the Work Station. (Minifigure Size Comparison with the Elvis Trooper! ) Thanks for looking. Looking foward to your feedback! Quote
Inertia Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I saw this on Flickr, It's very cool... I knew that aliens had elvis! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Very nice! I really like the blue transparent pieces. Those are called bacta-tanks right? Anyway, it has a nice clean sterile look that is very accurate. Great work! Quote
Tacitus Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Hey, that looks really nice, and spot on! It looks like a pretty straight forward build, too. So, given what I've seen of your building skills, this took you, what, five minutes? Quote
I Scream Clone Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 They are very nice and accurate looking! You have done the Clone Army a great service! Now where can i find the transparent clone vats??? does anyone have a bricklink item no etc? Cheers ISC Quote
Siegfried Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Great work. You've done a great job of matching the look. At a casual glance it seemed much smaller, and then I noticed the mini-fig! Is this all you are going to make? I want to see the whole thing! Those are called bacta-tanks right? No, they are just for healing. I don't think they are named, the Spaarti cloning cylinders seem to refer to the work by Zahn only. Quote
Tarfful Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 And people said SW modular buildings wouldn't work, well you proved them wrong! Great job SirNadroj, a very movie accurate and detailed work. I especially like your choice of figs. -Tarfful Quote
JimBee Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 nice MOC! thats reallt accurate and cool! but uh... what do you mean by "modular"? i know what module means, but i dont understand what it has to do with this. please help Quote
Siegfried Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 i know what module means, but i dont understand what it has to do with this. please help He means that you can make more and link them together. Notice the pins? Quote

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I am not what you call a "Star Wars expert" . What comes in the new Republic Gunship this summer is a bacta-tank right? Quote
JimBee Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 He means that you can make more and link them together. Notice the pins? oh, thanks! that explains alot. Quote
Siegfried Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Ah. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I am not what you call a "Star Wars expert" . I know enough Star Wars stuff to get by. What comes in the new Republic Gunship this summer is a bacta-tank right? I believe so. From what I have heard it's based on a scene in Clone Wars. Quote
Vaders_son Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 We'll get a bacta tank with the new RGS? That's great news Sir Nadroj your moc is very cool and inspiring, I'd love TLC to start some series like this That Elvis Trooper is just sooo sweet Benny Ps: I'd call them just cloning tanks or something because Spaarti is a special fabric on another planet called Spaarti Creations (there's a short story about it in the official German Star Wars magazin) Quote
goggleson Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Great job, would buy this if it was a set!...Actually I'd get 4... The Elivis Trooper(click). Quote
Asuka Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 A plain cool and clever structured work indeed! Quote
Joey Lock Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Is the Elvis Custom? Because I would love to Buy Decals? Quote

Vaders_son Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Oh yes, the Tusken raider in the cloning cylinder was the one thing I didn't get, but I forgot to ask Maybe they plan to overthrow Jabba and take over Tatooine?! Well we know how that story ended Quote
Vader Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Most of what i would say has already been said, so i'll simply say that's stunning work and i really love it Quote
SirNadroj Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 Thanks very much for the kind words. I always appreicate your feedback. As for the Elvis Trooper; Kam gave me the decals ~ I looked in his shop and I don't think they're for sale, so they must be exclusive. The Elvis Trooper is the pride of my growing water-slide custom minifigure collection. Again, thanks! Quote
captaintau Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I knew that aliens had elvis! Yeah, he's not dead, he's living on a distant planet along with Princess Diana, Bruce Lee and Elton John. Smart MOC, Jordan Quote
I Scream Clone Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Does anyone know what part no the bacta tanks are on Bricklink? Wouldn't mind some of those! Quote
Vaders_son Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I just looked on BL and I think it's part 6259 in trans-light-blue Quote
