Unfortunately we are in a new era which means new technology and new ways of doing things. Indexes on a forum just aren't it. Not to mention the links to brickset and brickfactory are broken, so verifying their appearances, listed on 2013, isn't a possibility. I have tried fixing some of the links, but I can’t fix the links from image hosting sites that have gone bust. I do still have the Word documents from when I originally made the lists, and the pictures in those are still intact if anyone is interested. The list hasn’t been updated in years, and there has been some new material to add to it. Maybe we could all work together to improve and expand it. Speaking of broken links, Kelceycoe, I tried taking a look at the scans of Bo’Sun Will’s Activity book on your site since I hadn’t seen it before, but the scans don’t work. Quote
kelceycoe Posted June 11, 2019 Author Posted June 11, 2019 Works for me. Mobile devices and ZIP files do not get along, are you using a mobile device? http://wskel.com/sb/pirates/media/books/act2.zip Quote
Runamuck Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I tried using the link you provided, but it still didn’t work. Although my brother tried it too, and it worked on his computer. So I guess it’s some sort of technical issue with my laptop. Quote
kelceycoe Posted June 12, 2019 Author Posted June 12, 2019 I noticed some browsers are adding https:// to the beginning of thd addresses Quote
Zeya Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Quote Boatswain Will (Bo'Sun Will in UK) The word "boatswain" is pronounced like "boats'n" or "bo'sun". It's a nautical thing. So if there are comics or whatnot where it's spelled like "Bo'Sun", they were just kind of spelling it out phonetically. I used to row competitively in high school. The (usually small/light) person who sits in the stern, steers the boat, and calls out orders (NOT "row row row!" which is an annoying misconception) is called the coxswain, which is pronounced like "cox'n". It's the same type of thing, boatswain->bo'sun, coxswain->cox'n. Quote
Captain Fortune Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 I've seen that some of you ask about Ironhook and Roger. They are indeed different characters. Look at this thread: Quote
