My hope for 60260 to 60266 is that its a revival of the Farm subtheme.

60260 to 60266 likely is a subtheme for 2020 , codename in/out

So, that's 7 sets, the amount, seems to match up with previous subthemes.

Volcano 2016 : 7 sets

Jungle 2017 : 7 sets

Arctic 2018 : 8 sets

Space 2019 : 7 sets (not counting polybags or the 4-figure blister pack which have no 602xx numbers)

Farm would be a very cool one, as it's been some years since we got even something like horses in a minifig set (not including licensed theme like Harry Potter)

https://www.stonewars.de/lego-2020/#lego-city-2020

On the other hand we seem to have a set name for 60267 Safari Off-Roader, which could be part of it, that'd be amazing as well.

Going by recent years, we did see big cats in various subthemes and colors, but no savannah lions yet.

Also Arctic had a Mammoth, so maybe an Elephant is possible.

Zebras seem possible if they bring back printed horses, or maybe some modified antler harry potter deer mold for antilopes.

Possibly includes a more themed People Pack as they did with 2019 Space

60268 is codenamed "Town 2" maybe one of those €80 sized sets like Donut Shop Opening

60271 is codenamed "Town D2C" likely a €100+ set like 2018 Capital City.

60259 and 60269 seems missing, possibly a "Town People Pack" or Advent Calendar

60270 , 60272 , 60273 , 60274 are named MDP , I think those are usually multi-set valuepacks like this

Exactly! And it's not like little boys don't love big tractors and heavy equipment. A farm subtheme or 2020 would earn Lego another good bundle from City.

Also is a good reason to add some small animals into an Xtra pack like some chicken/cat/pig/goat/sheep, a pumpkin, or farm minifig accesoires like a hat/pitchfork, maybe even 1 larger animal horse/cow.

Xtra had a Sea themed pack this year, with a Christmas one to follow, and both of those had animals in them, including a larger animal like shark.

Ok. Maybe not bullfighting. But harvesting and tractor races. That's action.

What about Farm Police? ?
It actually could work as a cohesive subtheme (or subthemes), with a combination of farming equipment, crooks' hideouts, and off-road police vehicles.

A Safari theme that is focused on conservation and research would fit with LEGO's recent STEM-adventure subthemes, so I see that as a realistic possibility. If we do get a Safari subtheme, I hope that the vehicles will have the white-and-black zebra pattern from set 6672 (LEGO's only other Safari set).

I think Lego has police under control. I want to suggest themes that don't involve the police.

Having grown up on a farm, I can attest that we don't need no police protection out here...of course I'd love to see Lego produce a "moonshiners vs. revenuers" subtheme! :devil_laugh:

I grew up in the hood. We protected our own property man. We ain't need no cops either.

Not to keep going with "police outside the city limits," but if the rumors of a safari theme are true there's plenty of room for law enforcement there.  Gotta keep those animals safe from poachers!  I'd much rather see civilian safari sets than rangers vs poachers, but I'm sure police sets based on a rangers vs poachers theme would be just as relevant to many people in, say, Africa, India, or China as the swamp police, forest police, and mountain police themes were/are to people in the United States and Europe whose metropolitan areas of residence are near mountains, forests, or coastal wetlands.

Inasmuch as a separate police theme is already confirmed for 2020, though, it's extremely unlikely that the summer wave codenamed "In/Out" would have its own law enforcement component, whether it's set on the farm or on safari or in the suburbs.

When they have tested the farm sets on kids they love other stuff more! That is the problem and why we have not seen a wave in 10 years

I want the farm theme back as much as anyone, but after talking to the Lego city designer I am not sitting up all night waiting for it to happen, but hopefully it will happen some day:shrug_oh_well:

Other than the deer used as a antelope I think you have excellent points and hope you are right, but fear the safari off-roader is a standalone vehicle set :def_shrug:

Sounds like the best police wave ever to me

WUT???? *oh2*

But If you want to release a certain work topic in Lego City, you need to get children who are interested in that kind of stuff though. You can't just get random children and test them. Every City fan knows that.

Well I don't blame the kids though. That's their decision, but of course time flies by when the new generation comes around so if there is at least one of them interested in farms. There may be a chance

That's not how test marketing works. At all. You absolutely do need to "get random children" - you're not going to get any kind of valuable market data by preselecting your test group based on whether they're already fans of the thing you're testing. Every rational person knows that.

bull fighting, tractor races

This just shows, why it is so difficult to make LEGO sets for the WHOLE world - as there are no tractor races in a country like Denmark, its mostly an USA thing (but we have championships in ploughing!).

As a matter of fact, farms and farming are VERY different around the world, and indeed farming is a very broad term. Pigfarms are different from diary farms, that are different to corn-farms, that are different to chicken farms, that are different to wheat farms, that are...

Modern farming has a high degree of specialisization; the kind of farm I grew up on in the 60ties with both cows, pigs, hens, barley, turnips, hay - that kind of farm hardly exists anymore.

I said boys because City is mainly for boys. Girls have Friends.

Oh, "girls have Friends." Well, I hope they stay where they belong and just get the Friends sets then, rather than show any interest in City, which is "mainly for boys." We wouldn't want kids to just pick sets they want and play with them, like girls that regularly build and collect City, or even - horrors! - Star Wars or Marvel, while some boys enjoy Friends and Elves and Disney.

Sexism is bad enough out there in the real world, let's not let it ruin the pure imagination and joy that comes with discovering and building with LEGO in whatever way you want...regardless of what gender you are.

Yeah! Tbh I actually recommended that they'd bring Paradisa back. But people here were against it saying that "Friends has taken that spot!". But considering that they have lots of female minifigures in City, I don't really think sexism is a thing with Lego. But you can't deny that City seems to attract boys over girls. I'm not a sexist, but I do often stop to think that Heartlake City is actually Lego City through a girl's point of view. Instead of the crimes, cops and crooks, there is pleasantry, shops and diners.

This thread is getting really off topic...

I mean, the current topic is far, far away from the listed one...

Farm police would also cause me to abandon TLG. But a modern sheriff's theme would be cool, with trucks/jeeps.

Safari certainly sounds viable, but that set could also just be a GV set.

I dunno what else the in/out could be though. I suppose it could be a whole sub based off Lego City Adventures, but I doubt it. My hope would be public transportation, farm, etc. We also haven't had construction for a bit, though we did have Mine.

I did find a few Google hits that might be leaks but the sites look suspicious so I'm not clicking
