JunkstyleGio Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 @allanp Specially for you some colorvariations.. Quote
1gor Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 @BrickWild IMHO white version looks better than other Quote
allanp Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 @JunkstyleGio Wow thank you I think the metallic blue, metallic red and metallic green are great, But the regular dark green also looks very good. Quote
nicjasno Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 The gearbox this model deserved (just the stack): Quote
Gray Gear Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 I would love to have more "transmission gears", I do see what you did there, but how can you control which gears should transfer power? Also, while it is cool, this takes up more space than the 4-Speed from the Bugatti. Quote

[snip] Wow Thank you! @nicjasno How well do the 28-tooth and 16-tooth gears mesh? I ask because, e.g., 24 & 12 are an overly tight fit (unless you use the old crown gear or the white clutch gear) and, conversely, 36 & 20 barely interlock. Quote

In this setup they mesh perfectly. 1 hour ago, Gray Gear said: I would love to have more "transmission gears", I do see what you did there, but how can you control which gears should transfer power? Also, while it is cool, this takes up more space than the 4-Speed from the Bugatti. This is just a compacted proof of concept. The gears will be controlled via the standard clutches. I am waiting for parts from bricklink to be able to build the final setup. Quote
Jordanbellamy Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 (edited) Hi Guys, just found this thread through google, i'm planning on buying this set , just kindly wondering if somebody can create instructions for right hand drive (i'm not Lego technically minded (pun not intended lol) & also possibly a 3d model also in rhd, cheers much appreciated. Edited September 27, 2019 by Jordanbellamy Quote
Arioh Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Im planning to build it RHD too and i asked Grohl is it easy to make such changes. His answer was: "I am afraid not. You have to mirror pretty much everything on the chassis." So, this is what i will do - just build whole chassis in mirrored variant Quote

Nazgarot Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Use plasti-dip! It can be pulled off like a thin rubber layer after you decide to return them to original. I use it among other things to increase grip on lego tracks. -ED- Quote
DataNinja Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 (edited) Nevermind...FunkStyleGio throwing me off with 42077 B-model in 42110 colors! Looks good in those colors though Edited September 29, 2019 by DataNinja Quoted then deleted quote Quote
kbalage Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Just now, DataNinja said: Eh, what's this? B-model already? Dune buggy looks sweet! Does it only use parts from 42110? That seems to be the 42077 B model with the Defender's colour scheme. Unfortunately a lot of parts does not exist in this colour. Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 (edited) It is JunkStyleGio... But I can be funky... I always do some recoloring for the new models. Still the Olive Green on the Defender is not that bad at all! Edited September 30, 2019 by JunkstyleGio Quote
Permo Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 I really like the fenders, rims and the color.... So I ordered one as a parts kit to extend my collection. It's not a bad price either. Quote
Permo Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Just got an email from lego.com that it's out of stock allready Quote

I bought the last one today at a local store for €158.30. They only had 2 and already regret that they did not order more of them. Quote

Bartybum Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Got it for 20% off last night, checked again like an hour later and it was sold out. Hehehe Quote
Coder Shah Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Hi, does anyone know the scale for the model? Is it 1/8 scale? Quote
