Tomas TECHNIC Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 (edited) I really like the Liebherr R9800 so I decided to build it myself. My version has got six functions (all powered by PF elements, controled by three IR receivers) Drive - one L motor for each track Turning superstructure - M motor Arm - XL motor, M motor, M motor It is not as big as official Lego Liebherr but functions (I think ) works really good. 1gor Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 IMHO model is to nice to be used in dirt. Since I have not enough experience with tracked vehicles, I have one question - what motor do you use for Excavator drive? Quote

I used two PF large motors geared down. (1:15) Quote

(1:15) What I have noticed that when motors use down gearing or up gearung through my bet if gears, drive us not particularly smooth...I'm currently testing my rc tractor with same solution only use 3 gears, I would be mostly satisfied to have driect drive... Mechbuilds Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Love it how you used the gear racks as linear actuators. Brilliant stuff! Quote
