Posted June 30, 20195 yr As a model of my Lego car, Kyle Scaife (Mustangkyle) served the Ford Mustang 1967. The special feature of this car is its extremely widebody and is based on a c5 corvette drivedrain. I tried to copy them with lego. I hope you like it. Some pictures of the original car: Properties: - Steering wheel front wheel - V8 engine - 4 speed gearbox - Rear wheel drive with differential - Removable roof - Full rollcage - Pushrod suspension front and rear - American and Hungarian flags as an extra More pictures at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=577885 VIDEO: [media] Edited July 1, 20195 yr by dokludi
July 1, 20195 yr Interesting car, never seen it, first I found it very empty, but than I checked the real life counterpart. Indeed, it supposed to be super minimalistic. The only thing what can be improved in my opinion is the front suspension travel, should be on pair with the rear one. Can we see some detail shots from the gear shifting mechanism? I think I can spot some nice solutions there!

The first spoiler is not able to spring better. At the demolition of the car, I take pictures of the gearbox. 6 hours ago, Tomas TECHNIC said: I really like the suspension system. Thanks. I uploaded pictures of them.
July 1, 20195 yr At first it looks like an empty shell but you have some good work going underneath the body. I like the simplicity of the seats, gear stick and the steering wheel. Excellent work. H
July 2, 20195 yr Interesting original and good recreation in lego. I think I haven't seen seat build like this, but it seems closes possible to original.
July 2, 20195 yr Nice work, you did an excellent job of recreating this car in lego. I like all the details built into the model. The engine, gearbox/shifter, interior, and suspension are impressive looking. I'm no expert but scaling on everything looks great.
July 3, 20195 yr Really like the overall styling replication you've done. The seats are unique and the roll cage details well done!
July 3, 20195 yr While the car your model is based on definatelly isnt my taste, I still have to say you did some great work. And the seats made ot tank treads are awesome. I have to say I am worried about the suspension system, especially in the front. That yellow piece holding the small ballpin in place will break sooner or later, its just a really fragile piece and the angle the link is coming up is far from ideal. I suggest reworking or reinforcing that small section.
July 9, 20195 yr brilliant idea using the treads for the seats man! also hows the overall strength of the suspension? it looks like there are a lot of build techniques used that will separate after a small amount of use
