Gremer2 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) Is it just me or does the cockpit look a little weird? Something about it just doesn't feel right. As someone who has not yet watched the Mandalorian, the standout figure for me is the Scout Trooper. I had no use for the Action Battle sets, so any other way to get the new design is much appreciated. Edited February 20, 2020 by Gremer2 Quote

Or is the countdown to out of stock already begun? I dont remember such an early pre-order ever? The preorder is most likely because lego knows it's going to be a massive seller, without preorders they will burn through their stock incredibly quickly. These preorders give them a very good indication of the minimum amount of sets they have to produce. Though I'm personally not going to preorder, I'll get it from another retailer for a cheaper price Quote

It may be a little overpriced, but the set is fantastic, and it's Day 1 buy for me (although my budget for other sets is little lower). Ship is incredible. Minifigures are awesome. Baby Yoda is... just wow. I'm a little disappointed Mandalorian is a repeat tho, Beskar armor one would be much more welcome. Agreed with the repeat on the Mando, that is surprising. What other set would produce a Beskar version? Maybe this will change? Quote

I hope it's not a Lego exclusive set, because it won't be easy to find it at lower price. Quote
lego the hutt Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) It does look a little off. It might have been a rushed design to get it on shelves? For comparison: Edited February 20, 2020 by lego the hutt Quote

THELEGOBATMAN Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) A challenging build for ages 10 and up, this 1,023-piece starship construction kit includes 5 collectible LEGO Star Wars characters, including new-for-August-2020 The Mandalorian and the Child LEGO minifigures. This set is definitely rushed, so there's a chance Mandalorian is actually wearing Beskar armour in this set. Edited February 20, 2020 by THELEGOBATMAN Quote
lego the hutt Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) I'm going to be patient for now and see how I feel about it when it is on shelves. For now this set screams that we will get a remake in a year or two to me. Edited February 20, 2020 by lego the hutt Quote

The fact it has come from Lego directly I reckon suggests a new The Mandalorian figure. The set might even have minor updates to what we see now. Perhaps the rushed nature of this set explains the rumour of cancelled sets- just me speculating! Edited February 20, 2020 by ArrowBricks Quote

LegoFjotten Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 The set & figures looks pretty good. Looks like a set I would actually enjoy. That price though, EUR 158 in Norway. I think LEGO Star Wars is pretty close to over and done with for me. Quote
ToaDraco Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 It really sucks the Mando isn't in full Beskar with a jetpack and for the price this set should come with more figures like Kuil. That said the Razor Crest itself looks excellent and they did a pretty good job with the child. The price is a little ridiculous though I'd like to see the interior. Maybe it will seem more worth it if it has a sizable detailed interior. Quote
CF Mitch Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 (edited) Holy moly, it's true! Oh, man, so excited! The Child looks excellent! Can't say too much for Greef Karga yet, but so far he looks great. IG-11 looks good as well and I love the fact that it also contains a new Scout Trooper The ship itself also looks excellent. Rather big, so I guess it will have a bit of an interior. Can't wait for this to be released Regards, Mitch Edited February 20, 2020 by CF Mitch Quote
makoy Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Would have been nicer if the armour of The Mandalorian is fully upgraded. Anyway, this will be a hot item. They certainly know how to price the set. Quote
Hoth Rebel Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 This is very, very soon for them to release them. The design process usually takes, as many already know, more than a year to get from nothing to a set on the shelves. They simply want to get onboard with the hype and put a Mando set as soon in stores as possible. So it could be possible that the design for the minifigures changes a bit and what we see at Toy Fair and in the announcement will be some sort of prototype version. The pre-orders are an indication for Lego how much they should make instead of a regular release which have standard production number. Quote

LurkingEhlek Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 This looks great. I do feel a little concerned Kuiil is absent because this was the best chance to get him, but the exterior model looks good. The Child looks perfect, the scout trooper is good to get, and we may get a slightly updated Mando in the final version. I also cannot blame them for the high price given how in demand the set will be. Unlike the Grievous Star fighter there is clear content here that I can bare the $20-30 dollars more. Quote
Willsy Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Pre-ordered, the Razor Crest itself looks great and The Child minifigure looks incredible. £120 isn't the worst price, it looks like there are a few larger and specialised pieces and there's the head mould for The Child as well. 38cm long and over 1000 is decent too. Quote
kovalscky Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 I think, we can get 1 carbonite inside. That would be awesome, if we get different carbonite texture to simply Han Solo in carbonite. Quote
jpipes7261 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Wasn't set 75291 alleged to be the Razor Crest? I also remember hearing that set 75291 was found in the target computers. If I'm remembering this right does that mean there is another set that is a target exclusive for this summer? Quote

I think its more the proportions making it look strange? Maybe it should be slightly taller but shorter length wise? Maybe the engines ahould be spread a little wider? Unsure. Hard to say exactly. It just seems off. Edited February 20, 2020 by lego the hutt Quote
CF Mitch Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Upon closer look, it seems to me the engines are a bit too high. And perhaps a bit closer to the hull than the original ship as well. Not too bothered by it, to be honest. actually. Especially if there's still a chance the design is adapted for final release. Regards. Mitch Quote
