Doesn't look that bad tbh, though I'm still not interested. But those printed dishes are awesome! Quote
Balrogofmorgoth Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Honestly I think the TIE pilot is the best out of the three helmets, it actually looks really good Quote

KevinMD Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 They’ll be a nice line to display but there aren’t a lot more helmets I can think of wanting to see, aside from clone iterations. Quote

Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, General Grevious, Phase I and II Clonetrooper, Rex, Cody, Praetorian Guard, First Order Stromtrooper (could also be Phasma, Executioner or Sith Trooper), Mandalorian, Preatorian Guard, C-3PO, Revan, Knights of Ren or Jango Fett, I'm sure you would like to see some of those. And if we go beyond helmets (Marvel is getting Hulk bust), we could see Darth Maul, Yoda, Chewie, Ewok or Jawa. This theme has huge potential, but I think they should make them more diversified. For example instead of Stormtrooper, TIE Pilot and Boba Fett they should have made Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren and Grevious (just an example). Edited March 17, 2020 by THELEGOBATMAN Quote

LurkingEhlek Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I am actually impressed by the Tie Pilot. Of all of the helmets, I may actually get that one. It being black makes the shaping problems it shares with the Stormtrooper less pronounced, and the tubes look rather clean and makes it look like there is more substance compared to the others. Quote
ChiefPie Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 The tie pilot is probably the best one. Originally I liked bobas but his visor does not look good Quote

I agree we need to see kylo and grevious, as well as ones from other themes if this wave does well and continues (If you guys want to see clone helmets, buy these so they'll continue the theme!), but it makes sense to start with the OT. Most adults grew up with the OT and it's in general the most well liked of the three trilogies. Quote

The line is aimed at AFOLs, which in LEGO's eyes are primarily interested in OT merchandise. I suspect if they sell well, there will be helmets from the other two trilogies and the anthology series mixed into future waves. And bear in mind there are more potential trooper helmets than named character helmets (at least if they stick to villain helmets, which is what the press release seems to indicate), so I would not expect to see more than one named helmet per wave. An A-Wing would make the most sense, finally completing the Alphabet Squadron (A-.B-,X-, and Y-Wing), and the core Rebel fighters. Can't see what better ships there would be, other than prequel vehicles. 1 hour ago, KevinMD said: They’ll be a nice line to display but there aren’t a lot more helmets I can think of wanting to see, aside from clone iterations. Well, I'd say Biker Scout and Snowtrooper are the next obvious ones, then maybe Phase I & II Clone Troopers, and probably Cody because his visor and color palate. I definitely do not want to see any ST helmets, but that's just me. I also don't think Grievous would make a good helmet, as he's obviously a face/mask. As for the TIE Pilot, I don't see how it's any better than the Stormtrooper, maybe it could've gotten some silver highlights to accent the shaping, but I like the tubes and visor. Quote
I_hate_my_ears Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I watched Mandr productions latest videos. He says he was told we are getting a clone wars 501st battlepack and even an Gunship with full troops. Does anyone know when we will see any of these sets? Quote

I haven’t heard anything about these, I guess we’ll have to wait and see if his source pans out. Personally, I’m very very skeptical of his information, but then again he was right about Vader’s Castle and we all thought that was nonsense when he said it so who knows Quote

He definitely didn't tell you those things were happening with 100% certainty. Anything with the UCS Gunship (outside of the fact that it's coming) is speculation however the $30 Barc Speeder + AT-RT set having 4 501st Troopers is something I have heard (and said) however I made it clear I am skeptical of it legitimacy. As for when, Gunship likely in 1HY 2021 & potential 501st set August 1, 2020. Quote
Balrogofmorgoth Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I feel like the problem with the Stormtrooper helmet is that the mouth is too high. I might get it and try to lower it to make it look better Quote
Seasider Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Do we think the helmets have printed pieces or stickers ? as to following waves I’m hoping for more original trilogy. Scout Trooper is my favourite helmet of the whole series. A royal guard and Boussh could give a trilogy for RotJ. I think there are lots of options TLG could do, the only issue would be how to tackle open face helmets like the ones the Rebels/Rebellion use Quote

There are stickers, you can see them on the Stormtrooper. Stormtrooper: printed nameplate, at least 10 stickers Boba Fett: printed nameplate, doesn't seem to have stickers TIE Pilot: printed nameplate, 2 printed dishes with the Imperial logo, at least 2 stickers Edited March 17, 2020 by Guyon2002 Quote
Sneakguest Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Still suprised there were no Exegol, it looks like lego has really reduced the amount of location sets for their SW line =( Quote
