The ship is really nice and I like the escape pod and bed, but I don't think it could've hurt to include a few pieces of "furniture" as well. The price is already so high.

Just wait for a discount, 90% of the Star Wars sets are overpriced

With (apparently this somehow qualifies as a spoiler)

Spoiler

rosario Dawson playing ahsoka

in season 2 of the mandalorian, it's one more opportunity for another ahsoka minifigure if we don't get her in S7, albeit a very different one.

Cheers mate for the spoilers.

It's a casting announcement, not a spoiler. Has nothing to do with what we've seen of the show so far. Sorry, I should have phrased it better.

That's REALLY early.

The fact that the character appears in the series is a spoiler. As you yourself said, she has nothing to do with what we've seen of the show so far. Ergo, new and unexpected, and spoilery.

I'll put it in a spoiler tag but I still hold that a casting announcement isn't a spoiler, it being an official thing reported by actual news sources like NBC and the actress herself.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy.  Also strange that it appears they didn't have the TIE helmet, I would've guessed that they would've received all three.  I know that stuff typically is out and sitting in the back of stores way before it's officially out, but usually the earliest you'd see stuff is maybe two weeks, and that was when TRU was still around and would always put out their January wave sets by mid-December, before Christmas.

As far as Ahsoka, I still am holding out hope that they put her in the AAT set, because that would be a huge draw for a set that otherwise may not be super interesting to a lot of buyers.  Plus, you need non-droid figures for it and since we're already apparently getting 4 in the BARC set, they may not be throwing more at us in the AAT.  Ah well, that's all guessing at this point.

Spoiler is a piece of information that can make your watching experience worse. This:

1. Is a casting announcement, no one is getting mad at prestigious portals for letting us know this.

2. If we know so early, they will definitely promote the second season with Ahsoka. That's a big name and a big character, I know some people who after this information plan to start watching Clone Wars or/and The Mandalorian.

It's like considering Palpatine EP IX reveal a spoiler. If you don't want to know key informations about a movie or a TV show (like basic plot, main characters, any footage) just saty off the internet, like, forever.

What an absolute load of nonsense.

Your whole answer is littered with assumptions.

Your first section literally contradicts everything else. Furthermore I’m not going to get mad at these ‘prestigious portals’ considering I don’t actively search for or have any means to which I can view their content about Star Wars.

Palpatine was a reveal via official Star Wars means this is clearly not.

Nope it’s you being lazy and inconsiderate. The key point is not the actor but you revealing a character in a new series.

Anyway moving on because clearly we won’t agree on this topic...

Summer 2020 sets need to official reveal themselves soon

If we get casting news so soon, there's no way they are gonna keep it under wraps like Baby Yoda. Ahsoka is one of fan favourite characters, and she's gonna bring a lot of fans to watch this show, even if they don't like Disney or first season.

Marvel or Star Wars rarely announce anything themselves, it's always a news from portals like Hollywood Reporter, Slash Film or Variety.

If you consider basic casting news a spoiler, then what isn't a spoiler? Things like plot leak, cameo leak or leaked footage are definitely spoilers, but please, do not call casting news a spoiler.

I really despise spoilers and people who spoil things but I have to agree, this isn't a spoiler. If they (Lucasfilm) wanted to keep this a secret they would've done so, just look at Baby Yoda

Just going to bring this back- “Spoiler is a piece of information that can make your watching experience worse.”

I understand your points above I just don’t agree.

“There’s no way they are gonna keep it underwraps”. Yes maybe so but until that occurs you’re simply assuming.

My point is that if I went to the official Star Wars site (twitter,YouTube) I wouldn’t know this information. Hence in my view that is a spoiler because it hasn’t come directly from Star Wars themselves.

How knowing that Ahsoka appears in the series will make your viewing experience worse? Look, if Disney really wants to keep something under wraps, they can (just look at Baby Yoda or Infinity War and Endgam), but we know that she'll appear 7 months before it even premieres. They didn't want to keep it a secret, so they are gonna use her to promote this season.

My view is that when something is announced like this, it’s fair game. The actress and multiple news sources have announced it. Therefore, fair game, and not a spoiler. I can’t stand spoilers and people who post them but this is definitely different. I think it’s an odd choice for them not to make it a surprise but they chose not to so there you go. That being said, out of courtesy to others on here who obviously disagree, it’s not gonna hurt anyone to just not talk about it anymore.

I've yet to see anything from Rosario Dawson confirming this casting. I don't see it on her Twitter or Instagram accounts, and none of the articles I can find quote her directly. And, as others have said, it's not an announcement; it's a leak. (And no, not everything can be kept under wraps like Baby Yoda, a secret that required herculean efforts to keep, and cost Disney unknown millions in product merchandising). If Disney were going to announce this — which they haven't — they'd do it at Celebration, or in a teaser trailer, or just say something vague like "Rosario Dawson has been cast as a familiar face."

Regardless of whether you personally see this as a spoiler, the fact is that others do, and it would not kill any of you to use a spoiler tag around something that is even just questionably spoilery. I went into Rise of Skywalker with no idea that a certain OT character would make an appearance on Kef Bir, and I was generally surprised to see him standing there, which added substantially to my enjoyment of the movie. Had someone spoiled that bit of casting news, it certainly would have diminished my enjoyment of the film. I would say the same of Ashoka's appearance in Rebels, and Leia's appearance in Rogue One, and so on. There's simply no reason to broadcast this info on a LEGO forum when there is an option to hide the info just a click away.

I would also remind everyone that major plot spoilers for both The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker were maliciously broadcast to many people on this very forum by ChristopherLee, so there is a bit of sensitivity among some of us that that not happen again. So maybe instead of digging your heels in the dirt and insisting that anyone who doesn't share you definition of "spoiler" is a snowflake, you guys could just be respectful of the other people here and keep leaks like this a bit more under wraps.

What you mean are cameos. Han Solo appears in TROS for one scene. Leia appears in R1 for one scene. No one knew about those until sitting in cinema.

This one is different, as it's 7 months till the show starts airing, and when a portal like Hollywood Reporter or Variety publishes info like this, it's not a leak. If it was a leak, Disney would hunt every bit of this info on the internet and delete it. This is called casting news.

If you consider this as something that may spoil your fun, that's okay, BUT don't call it a spoiler, don't be surprised that people talk about it AND don't be like "Oh no that's a spoiler why did you spoil it for me". If you want to stay clean from any piece of basic information, stay off all Star Wars forums and all popculture/movie portals in general.

The fact is we don't know how the character shows up. For all we know she's the

Spoiler

darksaber

reveal in the final moments of the final episode of the season.

See how I did that? I used the spoiler button. Cost me nothing, but allowed EU viewers to continue enjoying the first season of Mando. That's all I'm suggesting. Be respectful of others. Doesn't kill you to think about how others want to enjoy these series/movies, rather than just yourself.

(And, plenty of leaks appear in Hollywood Reporter and other mainstream media. The fact that Disney isn't throwing the full might of their legal department at them doesn't mean Disney is happy that they're being published. They're still leaks.)

Regardless of whether it’s really a spoiler or not, it’s just common courtesy to drop it if people would rather not know anything coming up. It’s not really relevant to a lego 2020 discussion so it’s not necessary to talk about it. There’s no reason not to be considerate about it

Posted (edited)

Regarding the "spoiler", after @ArrowBricks objected I put the news in a spoiler, we don't need a ton of comments arguing about whether or not it is one. I still hold that it is both A: not a spoiler due to the excellent points made by @THELEGOBATMAN and others, and B: relevant to the discussion since the mandalorian s2 releases in 2020, but it is probably a good idea to drop it like @Balrogofmorgoth says. I just wanted to share some exciting news reported by mainstream media, not start another off-topic argument.

Common courtesy is nice and highly suggested. But at this point we just have to be very sorry for anyone not able to watch The Mandalorian yet. The internet is literally littered with Mando spoilers. Spoilering every Mando season 1 fact on this site is not going to help in the long run so it's not required.

For casting announcements, it's a public announcement and therefor not a spoiler. I'm really sorry if you're trying to stay away from all info regarding season 2. But unless you stay off the internet it's almost unavoidable. Using spoiler tags is nice in this instance but certainly not required.

I read it on the news on IMDb before reading the posts here. There are a total of 18 external links reporting the news.
