After seeing @Sariel's post about the new 28 tooth gear, I created an Excel sheet that can be used to find the perfect (if existing), loose and tight fits between two Lego gears.

It's only applicable to gears aligned along the same axis, so perpendicular and worm gears will not work - for now.
