Merlo Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Nothing spectacular. The giraffe one might catch my interest when I see a better image. Quote

Most of the body of the robot is white, although the joints and trim is black. The head appears to be a trans dark gray bubble. I'm unable to determine if a minifigure can fit inside. Small side builds are a brick built alien and a small patch of terrain with green minerals. Sounds like the same picture we saw before but since Instagram has disabled hashtags I don't know how to find leaks anymore. Quote
danth Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I'm only just now processing that the Ecto-1 is a Creator set. Really? Licensed Creator sets? Interesting...I was hoping for Classic Themed Creator sets, but of course the opposite has happened. Quote
icm Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 It's just another Creator Expert-style car. Licensed Creator Expert-style cars are nothing new. Heck, it doesn't even have the Creator Expert label anymore, just 18+. Quote

icm Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) Not to mention the VW Beetle, VW Microbus, Mini Cooper, Ferrari F40, VW Beetle (again), Ford Mustang, Harley Davidson Fat Boy, Fiat 500 ... those aren't movie licenses, but they are licensed, every last one of them. (Is the London Bus licensed? I don't know. Someone tell me.) Heck, I'd throw in last year's Batmobile in that category too. Neither the Batmobile nor the Ecto-1 are listed under Creator Expert by Brickset, not that it really matters. I'm not going to worry too much about classic-themed 18+ sets for now, I just hope we continue to get things like the PirateShip/PirateTavern/PirateIsland and the MarsRover/MarsBase/VicViper in the Creator 3-in-1 line. (I have the Viper sitting on my desk right now distracting me from work/school.) Edited November 16, 2020 by icm Quote
RichardGoring Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 For the last few months, after the announced that Creator Expert was being replaced by 18+, none of the new sets we're in the Creator Expert section of the Lego website, which meant finishing then was really hard. They were listed in the naming tree as 'Miscellaneous'. Now, however, they are all back under Creator Expert, including the Ecto-1 and Colosseum. Makes it much easier to browse on the website. Quote
RichardGoring Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Just got the Late Holiday 2020 catalog from LEGO and there are various 18+ sets in there listed in the Creator Expert section (Crocodile Locomotive, Ecto-1, Haunted House). It seems much more sensible to have these sets still inside a theme called Creator Expert with an 18+ rating rather than trying to have them as separate things that don't fit anywhere, and, critically, can't be found through browsing themes on the website.
