Agent 86 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 The Creator toy store is too small for my liking, but I guess that can be remedied by buying multiple sets. I will remain ever hopeful that we eventually see the Creator residential and commercial buildings return to fully-enclosed (i.e. four walled) buildings. And that we'll one day see plenty of houses released again, especially given how disappointing the recent "modular" houses were. The monster (burger) truck is too bizarre for me, but I can see it appealing to the key demographic (i.e. kids). Quote

TeriXeri Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 (edited) The red car set is just so much better then the green rocket car imo. Edited November 20, 2019 by TeriXeri Quote
meliander Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I like everything in the burger truck except for the wheels. I hope they include 4 normal wheels in the set (i can see two in the alternate build). Toy store is... fine I guess. What's with all big wheels in every set - I don't get it. Overall not too excited. Either it's me or something is happening with Lego. I used to like just about everything they produce. Now hoping for a good modular and expert vehicle to redeem this new wave for me. Quote
Bornin1980something Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 That burger monster truck is certainly the most unbelievable, super cool, outrageous, and amazing set announced so far! Quote
The Island Chronicles Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 Guys, don't get mad at me, but I may end up taking the monster truck tires off of the burger van to fit my City. Quote

TeriXeri Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) That cat polybag is nice, even as a parts pack. For such a small set it has a lot of possible builds with those clips/ball joints. The train still looks good for such a small thing. Edited November 25, 2019 by TeriXeri Quote

The Island Chronicles Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 After having a closer look, I don't think I'll be getting the burger truck. Its 8 studs wide and I can't fit a truck of that width in my city. Quote
TeriXeri Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) I personally think 8 wide is fine for this, some food trucks are pretty large, and this example even is a Monster Burger truck in green with orange wheels. Would almost think LEGO based the set on this and then added the huge wheels. Edited November 28, 2019 by TeriXeri Quote
The Island Chronicles Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 @TeriXeri Its too wide for my city though. Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Thank you all very much for the information! The toy shop looks great! There's a completely different architectual style in comparison to the last buildings. I like the facades on the front and the right side. Plus the small "tower" makes it looking really good. It's only a pity that there isn't more interior on the ground floor - esp. some more things on the wall would have been nice (only the three Lego sets make the wall looking to plain). In the rest of the sets I'm not interested. Btw: Did you notice, too, that there are (minimum) two new elements included: a 1x3x3 window frame and a 3x3 window glas? Unluckily without hinge function. Agent 86 Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 New Creator Toy Shop and Town House (aka tiny studio apartment with one missing wall) review: https://www.brothers-brick.com/2019/12/16/lego-creator-3-in-1-31105-toy-shop-town-house-review/ Quote
hagridshut Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I've become very interested in the Creator 3-in-1 "mini-modulars" after adding a Corner Deli to my spaceport (I figure that Lego astronauts would appreciate pizza, hot sandwiches, and cold drinks when they are working on a base tens of millions of kilometers from Earth). The 31105 Toy Shop/Town House is a set I'm definitely thinking about adding to my collection next year. I like the buildings with the red/white awnings, and the small tower on the roof is a nice touch. Mini-modulars are also a lot better for my budget and storage/display constraints than the Creator Expert sets. I would change the Toy Shop into a spaceport robot shop by modifying some of the toy micro-builds. Astronauts could go to the shop to buy different robots for specialized missions. Quote
TeriXeri Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 (edited) The upcoming Toy Shop set already looked great, even better with more review pictures. Since I collect 3-in-1 scale instead of Expert buildings, this is another addition for sure. Also has 3 of the new 1 x 3 x 3 windows in Tan, new color for a very recent 2019 part. Digger of Bricks Posted December 29, 2019 Author Posted December 29, 2019 Looks like we just might have our first information regarding 2020's Creator Expert car... Brick Fanatics - LEGO The Fast and the Furious Set Rumoured for 2020 Quote Brick Fanatics understands that a LEGO set based on The Fast and the Furious franchise may be coming in 2020. Later in the year there will be plenty more sets in the way, with one expected to be based on The Fast and the Furious film franchise. According to information received by Brick Fanatics, it will not be a minifigure based set, but something closer to 10262 James Bond Aston Martin based on the Dodge Charger. The theme that the set will fit into is not yet clear, but both Creator Expert and Technic would be suitable for an adult-targeted, car based model. Fast & Furious 9 will be released in cinemas on May 22, 2020. Quote
MaximusNL Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I sincerely hope that the Creator Expert series will not change to the F&F sets. I've built the Mustang set, however not in hotrod spec. I'd love to see a 911 Carrera in the Creator Expert series in the style of the VW Beetle and the Ferrari F40. Changing scenes to more 'modified' cars is not of my liking. Quote
meliander Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I also hope that Creator Expert Vehicles continue to represent old legendary cars rather than fancy street racing cars. I also don't want to pay extra for F&F license. I sincerely hope that it's a Technic set. Quote
