Australians all, let us rejoice... for we now have Indy!

Just popped into my local shopping centre @ Bondi Junction during lunch - Target now has all four Indy 4 sets in stock!

Picked up all of them in the following Aus prices:

7624 - Jungle Duel - $19.99

7625 - River Chase - $39.99

7626 - Jungle Cutter - $79.99

7627 - Temple of the Crystal Skull - $149.99

A bit overpriced, methinks.

The Target toy section was littered with flattened Lego shipping boxes so I'm guessing these were only stocked today. Myer and K-Mart didn't yet have stock (I went there first) but I assume these stores will soon follow, along with DJs.

Mods, please move or lock this thread if it is in the wrong place or repeated - I hadn't seen this news anywhere else and didn't want it to get lost in the rest of Indy 4 threads. Apologies if this is the case.

Oh dear you can cross the Indy Temple of my list please, that's not worth that price. Thanks for the info, I'll be getting the other three though!

Nice find but yes that temple is expensive, it'd be cheaper to get it off bricklink in the US and have it shipped over .I might wait for Target's next 15% off sale, they seem to come around fairly regularly for lego/toys/or the whole store.

Thanks for the news svelte, I'll be sure to check NZ for them soon :sweet: It really is a shame about the prices though, I was hoping to be able to build quite a nice Soviet army, but with the River Chase priced at $45NZ, I'm not so sure anymore :sceptic:

Agreed. It wasn't a good set to begin with, let alone at $180NZ

Thanks again, svelte_corps :classic:

It is odd pricing. I couldn't resist all four though!

As I pointed out somewhere else, this makes Indy a more expensive license than Star Wars if you compare the prices in $US.

AT-AP - $US39.99 - $AUS69.99 --> same pricepoint as Jungle Cutter, but it's $AUS79.99

Sail Barge - $US79.99 - $AUS139.99 --> same pricepoint as Temple of the Crystal Skull, but it's $AUS149.99

Seems like the trick of doubling the price in US dollars for other markets is hitting here too.

It's even more bizarre that the Factory Space sets are $US20 more expensive than the large temple set, but $AUS20 cheaper for Aussies to buy!

Rest assured someone will have these on sale anyway if you want to wait. K-Mart will probably have them a few dollars cheaper as usual and Myer will no doubt have a promotional 20-ish% off at some point like they did with the first 4 Indy sets.

I was at a Zellers here in Canada and I was suprised to find some of the new KOCS Indy sets in-store. Both the small campsite set and the big temple set wee available. Anyone else seen the new sets in stores in Canada or the US?

To avoid a new topic for every country I merged the two topics.

Australians all, let us rejoice... for we now have Indy!

Shame about the price though. I may end up buying just the small set.

I was at the lego retail store in Downtown Disney today and there were no new indy sets :cry_sad: , BUT the shelf with the indy sets is now twice as long, and there was a guy from the store's staff who was assembling the Temple set for display purposes! So, that means they are awaiting them! :cry_happy: I'll be sure to check in next week! :sweet:

I think it sells for either $79.99 or $89.99 here in the US - at least I think it was that $ before Walmart told me they can't sell it to me. I compare it to the Orient Expedition Dragon Fortress that sold for $90. I do find that the large sets go on sale after a few months though.

Hmm bugger looks like I'm only buying the Tent set from this series, can't really justify the other 3 at this stage (well at least until I've seen the movie  thanks for letting us know though

I payed twenty for the River Chase at Wal mart. I think it's worth it because you get two russian soldiers to flank the villain and you get the only Indy 4 Marion. Coupled with the tent set, that's not a lot to own most of the main characters. The other two sets aren't a big deal skipping in my opinion....unless you really need a crystal skull.

Wow thanks for the news!! I shall get this set this weekend because I get money this weekend!!! (yay)

For anyone in the Chicago area, the Michigan Ave store has all the new sets as well as a nice display up.

Best bet for parking downtown (always an issue): make use of the free parking Trader Joe's offers just down the street on Rush Ave. They'll validate your ticket for up to 90 min. Park, run to the TLC store, grab your sets, then had back to Joe's and grab one of those $2.99 bottles of wine, and you're set!
