Hello Charbel

Once I saw the preview video and then the reveal this has gone to the top of my "to build" list

Do you have an update on the instructions release date please?

Thank you

Hey, I'm sorry the instructions will be ready around mid to end October. I literally only have 2-3 hours of free time per week with school, so I'm trying to manage it the best possible.

Hi Charbel,

I wouldn't necessarily change the front headlamps, as the car was intentionally designed with the larger emphasis on aerodynamics, displacing the overall design somewhat, which of course is in the shape of McLaren's swooping chevron. You could elect this part to be silver or differentiated by another colour, but when you evaluate the array of your images, the front view looks very good. Because when you take a deeper look, you can see the headlamps and see how this area was constructed. So this has been done well.

On the rear, the real-life car has a unified bumper, but we can all understand if you've exhausted all possibilities to somehow make it as one plane across, then that's ok. Because the rear diffuser is highly detailed and one of the model's best features.

The replication of the Monocell II carbon monocoque is excellent. The side, front and rear view should make you feel the design overall is faithful to the real-life car. If you can keep sloping more of its side panels perhaps, or more improvements if you feel it's required, that would be great to see. But these technic-based models will never be able to honestly fully capture the natural undulation of the model you're basing it on. The P1's rear is too severe compared to the 720s, since the former is a hypercar, so what's an advantage to your model is that it's easier to streamline.

I'm not a technic-based enthusiast but this is by far, the very best model build I've seen thus far, from anything I've seen from official models, to other user-based customisations. It's hard to already build it, but the final result might inelegant in Lego. It has the facade to be an official set...

Thanks you very much for this very precise feedback ! I haven't shown the monocoque alone yet but I tried to make it as close as the original and the modular build makes the construction more faithful I think.

Would it be possible to get a parts list so I can start sourcing them or would this have to wait until I purchase instructions from you?

Thanks

Hello, @EVILMONKEY I'm really sorry but I can't provide a partlist for the moment since it is a photo sequence instruction. I need to unbuild the car to make a part list and I still have some modules to take picture of. I will try to release it as soon as possible though.

That is understandable thanks for the reply

Hey Charbel, absolutely stunning build and can't wait to add this to my collection as I have many things in store for custom colors. I know earlier you said it would be specific to a small group and not released to the public. Can you let me know how to obtain the instructions and parts list? You can DM me on instagram if you don't want to put the news out there.

Thank you and again great job on this beast

I'm an absolute novice (by comparison with many on here) technic builder but this is incredible. I've built the Bugatti and GT3RS but this is quite possibly my favourite car! Since seeing your design i have been obsessed with checking out MOCs online but this is still the best thing i've seen.

Can't wait for you to release the parts list so I can start sourcing! Congratulations on such an amazing design, you've literally got be hooked!

All the best,

Dan

Thank you all for your comments !

The instructions are almost finished and I'm now doing the part list, so it is coming very soon. I will sell the instructions through Eurobricks and Techlug I believe.

Great work on the model, truly a masterpiece. I think this will sit nicely next to Bruno’s P1. By the way, even though I believe it will only slow them down, maybe it’s an idea to only sell to members with an account of x weeks/months/year(s) old or with a certain amount of posts.

Anyway, this ticks all the boxes for a great moc for me. Can’t wait to build it!

Great to hear about that! People can´t hardly valuate enough your decision to offer instructions, considering the fact all your latest designs have been stolen by the damn socialists from darkland. Wish you all the luck with that, curious how that will turn out and how long you can protect it. I fear it will take only one traitor and your IP is gone.. Since you can´t expect much profit, you should ask a higher price IMO, at least 10% of the parts worth people are willing to spend. Please register me on the wishlist too: brunojayjayone@gmail.com

Thanks, it´s always an honour! I will take apart my white RC version to free the PF parts for another project and build this 720S, I really need to have it on my shelf as well (and learn something about Charlies genious building techniques ).

Thank you @brunojj1 and @LvdH ! I am actually thinking to sell the instructions only to people who aren't new to the website. I will do some exceptions if the person manage to provide proofs that they are building the car (like some screenshots of their latest Bricklink orders), it would be really bad that someone actually spend money on the parts but can't build the car ...

Edit : to get the instructions send me a private message, I haven't decided on the price yet but I will know that you are interested !

Welcome!  i really like the model though i recently registered but would like to build one.  If I'm ready and need proof that I'm really a lego fan, I can post pictures of the kits I've done so far.  i have the bugatti, porsche, mac truck, new land rover and most recently the stranger things set. Unfortunately i can't send a private message

I'm also interested in your moc, so I have registered here.
At the moment I'm building the ford mustang hoonicorn from rebrickable and have bought my parts from bricklink.
Previously I have builded the BMW M4 DTM in the Post-Edition.

At the moment It's not possible to send you a pm. Hopefully you can add me manual.
