This was believable... Until the last two sentences. They tried to use Faber's name to give legitimacy to the story, but when you think of it, it doesn't make sense. Christian Faber started to post artworks on Instagram in April because he wants to relaunch Bionicle. He said he hadn't met with Lego, he wasn't sure it would actually happen, or even that the name would remain Bionicle, but no, he's actually pulling a switcheroo, and these artworks are in fact teasers for a theme he worked on that will be released in 2020. So he had to lie because of a supposed NDA that doesn't really matter anyway since he's allowed to post artwork online. Why ? To prepare the few remaining Bionicle fans for this theme, taking the risk to alienate them if they find out he mocked them.

Perhaps all of it will turn out to be true, but as long as I haven't seen official pictures of those sets, I won't believe anything about any possible future Constraction theme.

In addition to the Faber thing making absolutely no sense, the fact that they werent able to think of anything original and instead had to rely on claiming lego was trying to reboot old themes they like makes it pretty clear this is bull.

We still dont know for sure whats up with Leaf, though...

I mean... it would be nice? But, until they show there's a new constraction theme, I'm going to pretend we're not seeing one for a while. The Clickits (seriously?) Friends spin-off and a new IP do sound nice, I'd love for LEGO to have more than 1 or 2 original lines at a time. Who knows, only time will tell... I also have to wonder how many of these leaks are true and how many are nonsense.

It very well could be a new constraction theme judging from the line's set numbering, just not a reboot of any of the preexisting properties like the 4chan post claims (I mean, Classic Space, seriously?) As @TeriXeri had observed...

Probably wrong thread, but this is the most recent active Bionicle discussion.

Lego "Leaf" sets 71360 - 71373.

2016 Bionicle ended at 71300-71316 , but then we got some 2017 Dimension sets from 71340-71349.

I am just guessing here based on set numbers what those 14 sets might be , Bionicle and Dimensions set numbers are just very similar for 2016.

I can't find any other set numbers used from 713xx-72000 however (72001-72006 is the small 2018 Nexo Knights wave)

My main skepticism lies in the order in which these events happened. If this post was the first thing we had seen, and then we saw the listing for 14 'Leaf" sets and Faber posting Bionicle related things, then I would be more inclined to think something is going on here. But this sounds more like someone making up a convincing story based on those circumstances. Of course, it's a weird way to troll, so there is a very minuscule glimmer of hope there.

Regarding next year's enigmatic "Leaf" theme and whatever it may be, perhaps all could be revealed at October's New York Comic Con, much like how Bionicle 2.0 and Nexo Knights were officially announced there back in 2014 and 2015 respectively? :shrug_confused:

Wow, this thread is kind of old, but Lego ultimately did release something that sounds very similar to one of the things that this person, just recently. The Dots line is widely considered to be like Clickits, but better, so that adds a degree of credence to this stuff. Not much, though.

So yeah, I think at this point it's safe to say that the post that started this topic was fake. I don't know who made it up or why, but it was clearly fake. Leaf is already confirmed to be a system theme under the name of "Monkey Kid".

And with that... there goes the last hope Constraction had.

I just hope my theory was not seen as intentionally spreading fake info. (not connected to that Facebook Post in any way)

My theory was pure speculation on set numbers, not related to anything or anyone else.

That said, seeing a few Monkey Kid characters as Constraction in like a later wave could be interesting, Legends of Chima had 2 waves of characters in Constraction, so never saying never, but also don't want to give false hope here.

From what I understand is that DOTS had been in develoment for several years, and delayed for some too, with talk about it coming out of the woodwork as early as 2018. The 4chan post seemed to have used the murmuring about it as a basis for implying "legitimacy."
