February 3, 20205 yr Author Ah I see, me dumbhead thought you were refering to panel #18. I don't think replacing the #21 panel with the #4 is a good idea since the flow of the bottem line would get disturbed. Of course you can give it a try, that's what lego is all about after all.
February 3, 20205 yr Just made a quick proof of concept that the tapered panel will work. We're looking here at the inside of the left door. The small #21 panel in front of the door is fixed quite well, doesn't feel flimsy at all.

Finally I found the time to complete this beauty! I've built it using the half-stud correction mentioned in this thread. Also I've implemented the door modification that I suggested. I think with the tapered panel flows very well with the other lines!
April 12, 20204 yr Author @astyanax I'm glad you like it I believe the tapered panel causes the door not to be hold in place correctly when closed.

April 14, 20204 yr Normally I don´t like so much Technic cars, but this one looks awesome. Congratulations!
January 12, 20214 yr Hi guys, im currently in the process of gathering parts for this car, does anyone know if you can fit the regular steering hubs https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=23801c01 The parts list has a tow-ball steering hub which was only used for two years and costs €10-15 at least, while i have the other style in my partsbin. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11949 Looking at the parts i think the regular hubs with a towbal inserted will work just fine, but id rather hear from someone who has built the set, having to buy two specific hubs for €30 is something i only want to do if i absolutely have to.
January 12, 20214 yr @vectormatic Yes, you can change out the hubs for the new black ones without problems. You only need to add two lbg towball axles.

Excellent, that saves €30 on buying parts After checking, i do happen to have the other hubs as well, but id rather not tear down 42000 or 42039, while 42077 got part-binned pretty quickly.
January 12, 20214 yr @T Lego Any chance you may update the design with new panels from the 42125 Ferrari?

That sounds excellent, can you share whether this will be a design for CADA, or just standalone instructions?
January 12, 20214 yr And it’s looking fantastic too https://www.instagram.com/p/CFxKYoipsPu/?igshid=vgqjbayz6ewi Edited January 17, 20214 yr by LvdH

I have not closed or discussed a deal yet, for now it's just me sitting behind my desk putting some bricks together, trying to brighten the dark days of this rather depressing winter. I hope you're doing okay man, this winter does suck. For what its worth, that new 1:8 LaFerrari looks awesome from the pics @LvdH found, and your creations like the 1:11 model from this thread bring some much appreciated distraction, so you're at least brightening my winter a bit.
July 10, 20222 yr Hey, May I ask, where I could find the larger version depicted in your profile pic? 😊 I also appreciate the amount or work you've put into this one, well done!
